A lovely hotel with excellent staff. The only drawback was the location which although safe and quiet, was not walkable to shops or restaurants.

Enjoyed the proximity to the Rose Gardens. Two large coaches were parked outside our balcony which somewhat impeded the view. Traffic noise was loud but to be expected due to location.

I have stayed in Rose Park Hotel on many occasions and find the staff very helpful and friendly and the facilities clean and comfortable. The rooms have been refurbished and are lovely. I particularly appreciate the off-street free parking! The location is excellent with easy access into the city as well as beautiful gardens opposite.

The housekeeper woke me up by tapping on the door one morning, & calling 'room service'. It was just on 9am, I was asleep & confused as to why she was knocking. I hadnt requested a wake up call & I hadnt ordered room service. It turned out she wanted to clean the room and was an unnecessary intrusion.

The young, female receptionist was a joy to deal with and made me feel very welcome and well-looked after. Room was beautifully clean and spacious with crisp, white bed sheets and modern decor throughout. I would've given 5 stars had the bed and pillows been more comfortable. To be fair though, I believe the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so I'm sure that will be remedied soon enough.

A nice stay
5th stay at this hotel. There has been ongoing construction work happening over the last year, but there was minimal noise or disruption. It is good see improvements being made each time we come back. We were in town for Pearl Jam.

This property is very old, even after the rooms were redecorated my room had a mouldy damp smell. After 3 minutes in the room the mold and damp affected my asthma and i got a tight chest and breathing problems. I was about to leave. I reluctantly remained, i also noticed there were no lifts which anyone with disabilities would not be accessible. In all fairness the staff were lovely. I wouldn't stay again.

Let’s start with the good stuff - room is neat and today, clean, and bathroom looked to be updated. Easy to get to the CBD and close proximity. Nice area around the hotel. Now with the not so good. The young woman at the front desk at checkin did not seem interested, happy, or in a good mood. She was a bit rude (something which I don’t see often in hospitality, especially hotels at check in).

The room was excellent. However shower was built up so it would be difficult to use if you had a disability. The food was very average but I guess priced accordingly. The hotel is still being refurbished. Additional option of parking was a plus so was location. The hotel was on point with price. Ideal for families or traveller who were budget conscious. We stayed because our floors were being sanded so it was ideal for our needs. Jacquie

We booked this Hotel due to its proximity to the Rose Gardens and we were not let down. 2nd floor room opposite the Gardens with a great view of the Gardens - which just happen to be in full bloom at the moment. It only took 2 to 3 minutes to walk across the road for a leisurely evening stroll amongst the roses. Nice and relaxing
