Very good hotel location and facilities on a hilltop slope overlooking Potong Beach & Bay Area. Good staff services quality. Resort Hotel style setting ambiance and atmosphere. The hotel was clean and safe with easy local transport connections to shopping, dining and attractions. Family friendly with 3 pool area and private beach area. Spa Therapy was very good.

Breakfast was superb, so much variety and quality of the food was perfect. Location was excellent can walk or taxi it to patong beach and lots of options for food and markets. Sadly the quality and cleanliness of the rooms were poor. Very small rooms and space, photos looks deceiving. I received an incorrect room to what was booked, was given a substandard room. This was later rectified. Mouldy amenities where bottles were not cleaned in some time. Balcony wasnt clean too. Overall not a 5* experience or quality that I had hoped, rooms looked run down. Reality a 3*

I booked this thru Expedia. When I arrived, they said the hotel is fully booked, so they upgraded me to Ocean view suite, all bar items are inclusive. I also got free breakfast. The staffs are very nice and attentive. I had an early morning trip to island which made me unable to have breakfast at the hotel. The staff ordered a packed breakfast for me. She asked what I was allergic to, so that she ordered the right kind of food. This is excellent service. I love it. However, the only bad side is the hotel is on the hill. If you have elderly, it will be difficult to walk to Patong.

The hotel is like a resort with a great view, good breakfast, and great location; close to down town Patong beach. staffs were not friendly and helpful. The hotel provides free shuttle to down town Patong beach. The tour services offered in the hotel were pricy.

What we liked: Breakfast was wonderful; the pool areas were beautiful and relaxed. Staff were attentive and friendly. What could have been better: check in felt a bit unorganised. While the resort is beautiful, you really need to be able bodied to get around - it’s spread out and there are a lot of steps. The hotel offers one way shuttles to Bangla Rd three times in the afternoon/evening, but a return option would have also been good. We did love our stay, and the resort. Thank you for a great stay.

Quiet retreat steps from patong beach
Stayed in the upper one bedroom suite so we used the upper pool and dining area for breakfast. The view and service area as fantastic. I think this was the best pool of the 3. Booked to have quiet but walking distance for night life. This place delivered that. The staff was so attentive. I called this the chutes and ladder resort given it was on the side of a mountain. Being driven up to our room was a must even though we are fit. I am not sure how easily accessible the lower level rooms are. There sure were a lot of stairs. So be aware. Breakfast and happy hour were included which was nice and the food good. Also the private beach was small and not useable (imo) so we borrowed towels and rented2 chairs for $200bath on paying beach.

My stay at Amari Phuket was pleasant. It was close to shops to where you could walk. We had the all inclusive option but that only covered breakfast lunch and dinner, not room service. Our room was clean and stayed cool. Customer service was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Paid for room with partial view but too many trees to see the ocean! Let down but staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was good but I don’t recommend the Italian restaurant on site. Bad food and high prices
