The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Location of the hotel is very convenient. The staff member that checked us in was lovely but the other staff were less than friendly to my friend I was travelling with, and other guest interactions I noticed. It wasn’t until the morning of checking out I noticed my sheets had blood-like/copper-coloured stains. Also on the ground floor you can’t open the outside door without a bunch of people staring directly into your room from only about 2m away.

I loved the location, quiet & serene garden side, great lake view & short walk to the lake, in the heart of Queenstown, short walk to the shops, restaurants, attractions. The service was great, very helpful, friendly staff, huge range of buffet breakfast options that catered for guests with different cutural backgrounds, very clean & tidy hot spa room, which was a great treat after day of skiing. I found the staff very considerate & mindful of guest needs and preferences. Highly recommend Novotel.

The room was comfortable and clean but it was showing its age. It was frustrating to find out the hot tub/spa was only available by booking ahead. It was not available during our stay. The staff were helpful. The food was ok with lots of choices for breakfast.
