It is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms the beds were the best ones we had our whole holiday. The shower was awesome had great pressure and it had a washer dryer which was a bonus.Parking cost but it is a great rate and easy to get in and out. Can not fault the hotel

The Distinction is always our go to when in Dunedin or Christchurch. It's always a great stay and I would have given it 5 stars across the board however we had a terrible king size bed with a hump in the middle and bad sagging on both sides. Back was killing me when I woke up. I advised reception on checkout and they were going to get it removed. It was so unlike previous stays with them as the beds are usually fabulous. Otherwise everything else was fabulous.

Such a convenient location! I was upgraded upon check in that was very special. As I asked about where I would find the "inhouse" laundry facility? I was told there was a full set in my unit. EXTRA SPECIAL, as I had been traveling a week, and needed to do a load of cloths.

Great decor in rooms, very clean and quiet. I would say they need to put warmer more welcoming lights around reception area though. The current bright white lights don't enhance it, almost cheapen it.

The hotel is tidy and clean. The facilities are user-friendly, was satisfied with the washing machine and dryer in the washroom. There were many nice cafes and restaurants nearby, however they close quite early.
