Not treated as good as a white tourist. The guest next door ordered umbrellas on a raining day, I ordered 1 didn’t get any. mean while the white guest next door had 4 umbrellas including for their little kids. We kept asking room service for at least one and they sure shortly. As of now we are still waiting for one. I wish the best to the next guest. For dinner we had a horrible experience at ventus xa. It took us 1 hr to served dinner and we waited so long for our dessert we decided to leave without it. There is obviously a great preference for white tourists. Been twice and last time for sure in Marina el Cid .

From our check in to a la carte bookings, all was perfect. Gus was an absolutely GEM and so understanding and accomodating. Selene and her colleagues were also very efficient and informative. The food was fantastic and the hotel offered a wide variety. By far the cleanest resort I have been to. This is not a resort in which you grab a snack and walk. Everything was to be consumed inside the reataurants. This allowed the resort to remain spotless! I did not realized how much I loved that idea until our stay here! We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 10. We would absolutely go back in a heart beat! Gus and Selene, thank you for being so amazing! And thank you Liliana for keeping our room so perfect!

It was my first AI trip to cancun and we were a group of 14 guests. Believe me, i couldnt be more satisfied than I was after spending 6 days at el cid marina...right from cleanliness, food, service and maintainance every thing was just 10/10. I would definitely recommend this place....only inconvenience we had on the first day of check in where we had to move from one building to another after spending 1 night in the room facing ocean..The second room was big and had decent space though...rest of the days were just wonderful...!

The area and resort is nice, paid for upgrade to premium but it was unexceptional so big waste of extra money, but the drink service as not very friendly or fast, the bartender and waiter on the beach asked to take a picture of my wife which made her feel very uncomfortable so we didnt lounge at the beach anymore and every bar we went to it was slow and unfriendly with the exception of one bartender by the small hot tub who was friendly and great as his job As well as I bought and Expedia package, flight and hotel only to find out that our flight landed a day before our check in so I had to buy an extra day stay even tho we bought a package trip overall I will be staying somewhere else next year

Overall, very nice property. Rooms and the indoor areas were fine, the outdoors, especially by the pools, were not clean. The dinner reservations were difficult to get (we were only able to eat at two restaurants the entire week we were there) and the staff member was less than helpful and very irritated when we asked questions about the dinning. We were also not told on the first day when trying to make dinner reservations that there was a buffet every evening we could eat at. So, we ended up eating a lot of room service that had a limited menu. Our room was on the far end of the property, right next to the family/entertainment pool. It was very loud all day long and walking to the other side of the property took 10-15 minutes for me. Not to mention that at this time of year, the pool was so cold we could not even get in it. There is a man-made reef to break the waves before hitting the shore. This makes the water cloudy and dark. Not the beautiful Caribbean Sea you would expect. My daughter was so disappointed since the pictures of the resort to not represent how the beach really appears. There is no shuttle provided to or from the airport, which was surprising with the cost of staying there. Watch where you are walking at night because the staff drive all over the property in gas-powered golf carts (I cannot blame them as it is enormous) and the walkways are just big enough for one cart. Not even a person can walk next to one.

This was our 3rd time at Marina El Cid. The last time was 2013 and much has changed. The addition of Ventus and Ventus Ha was nice as it provided additional eateries and pools. Our main gripes had to do mostly with the rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. They were very poorly appointed. The coffee pots were very small and the attached Jr suite lacked a good place to even plug the coffee maker in. It had to be set on the floor or the bathroom vanity. There was zero silverware. The rooms smelled musty and the a/c in the larger room had a hard time keeping up even though we only had the slider open to set wet suit out to dry. But they were clean. The food was "OK." Thank goodness for the adult only pool as the family jacuzzi was constantly full of children who spilled drinks into the water and had little supervision. It is not a resort we'll revisit and there are just too many other good all-inclusives to choose from. But for the price, it is a decent resort with many amenities and lots of activities for families.

This resort was nothing short of spectacular. It is part of three resorts. The resorts are a tropical paradise nestled right on the beach. We upgraded (for a fee) from a family room at Hotel Marina El Cid to a one bedroom suite at the Ventus to take advantage of a more spacious, comfortable environment for our family. The room was impeccably clean and the double balcony offered fantastic views of the infinite pool and the turquoise ocean as far as the eye could see. The dining options were fantastic. The all inclusive aspect allowed us to enjoy a number of buffet restaurants, a cafe, and a cafeteria style restaurant. They also offered a number of other restaurants such as Japanese, Italian, French and American. The service at all the restaurants was top notch with staff always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The resorts offered a wide range of activities for the entire family. Pools, cabanas, jacuzzis, adult areas, kids club and a teen club. There was a fully equipped fitness centre where spin bikes and treadmills overlooked the beach. There were different themes and events every night around the resorts. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation.
