Quiet, beautiful area, peaceful. Great food at the restaurant. Clean, comfortable. The only suggestion would be complimentary coffee since the restaurant doesnā€™t open until 8 and for early risers itā€™s tough to have to wait for coffee

Very wonderful staff, always attentive. The grounds are rustic. Uneven ground could be difficult for some people. The rooms are great, updated and safe.

Incredible stay! Location was nice and secure with private access to the lagoon. The staff was extraordinarily nice and helpful. Check in was a breeze the girls at the front desk were very nice. Our room was spacious, the AC was perfect and our bed was probably the most comfortable bed Iā€™ve ever slept in. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel has no ammenities at all, a very small restaurant with no AC. We did not have hot water on the first day and had to call maintenance for the bathroom. They cleaned leaves with a VERY noisy machine daily distrupting all the peace. No pool, yes you have a beautiful lagoon but only 6 very uncomfortable beds. The hotel is very far from everythong so taxis are very expensive. Staffnis amazing though and food was great.

Loved loved this propertyā€¦ wished Iā€™ve stayed 2 nights instead of one. Itā€™s a 10 minute drive to downtown as MBH Maya Bacalar is in the middle of jungle but so nice to wake up to the scenery and the amazing lagoon. The kids enjoyed every second of our stay. We took advantage of the paddle boards kayak and of course swimming in this beautiful lagoon. Canā€™t wait to go back to this amazing place.

Pure magic! I loved my stay at the MBH. The property is set in the jungle and is surrounded by the natural beauty of Bacalar. It has an incredible lagoon access including kayaks and paddle boards for you to explore with. Itā€™s well worth it!

The bed was too noisy ... maintenance fixed it but it stayed the same. You could hear the noise from the room right away . The hotel is very expensive and they don't give you anything , not even coffee .
