Overall, the hotel was clean & quiet. I was in town to attend an event at the Straz center across the street so the location was perfect. While I did not encounter an staff that was rude, I didn't find them to be overly helpful. I asked for the front desk staff to schedule a cab pickup for me. Based on my experiences at hotels similar to this, I thought it would be provided here as well. Wrong; "you have to call them yourself; we don't do that." Nor did they recommend a cab company to use. The restaurant in the hotel is fair at best. Staffed with one waitress & a man who appeared to have the job of bringing the menu to the table & pouring water. He was not intetested in taking drink orders for soda pop. That job fell to the waitress. There was only 1 waitress working on a Sunday mo

The room was comfortable and well-equipped but the price was a little high for what was offered. There was no free breakfast or free parking and there were a few problems with the room: one light didn't work, the coffee supply wasn't replenished on day two, and the coffeemaker made more coffee than the supplied cups could hold. All that said, this was still a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel, and I'd probably stay there again.

It is a beautiful space with fantastic food. Every meal I had, from breakfast to dinner, was extraordinary, and their coffee was also excellent. The staff was friendly, kind, and helpful. The walks to the beach were so nice, to just stroll outside the door and be at the ocean within a couple of blocks. Great restaurants around the property. I attended an event there and the space was an excellent one to book. It's one of my favs, and I highly recommend it.

Not pleased
We were not pleased with this stay. We used our Hotel.com cash so we didn't pay full price thank God! But we had to call down to the front desk twice for hot water. The second time we called we were preparing to leave for a flight, and we were told to run the sink and shower at the same time for the water to get hot. If that didnt work they would call maintenance. We only stayed there because we were flying out of Tampa from our vacation in Orlando. So just leaving a great hotel in orlando to go to this one and have to deal with hot water issues was frustrating. Then as my sister was getting dressed in the bathroom, i hear all this bumping around. She was trying to kill a roach. NEVER AGAIN! Like i said i appreciate the cash points i had accrued from using hotel.com because if i would have had to pay the $200 for one night, i would have been very upset! Lesson learned!
