Lovely and close to the beach, easy walk into Fort Lauderdale to restaurants, etc... Nearby street vendors have an excellent array of dishes and the atmosphere on Saturday night was like a party. The resort employees are friendly and welcoming. And that DoubleTree welcome cookie is delish! The fittings in the room we had in the Marina building were a little tired (ie the bathtub should probably be replaced) but the beds were comfy and the room was clean. Definitely would stay here again.

The day bartender at the lobby bar was the rudest person I have ever encountered at a hotel bar. My wife wasnt sure what she wanted and she rolled her eyes at her . She was then rude when I asked her if she had a with her

Room and BED was so comfortable plus, we really loved the pool and the pool area. My only concern was the shower because the water took forever to get hot and the water pressure was low

Nothing "wrong" with the property, but it was a little dated. My main complaint is that it was very expensive given the quality of room. I travel quite a bit and would normally pay at most $200 for a room like this. That said, we were going on a cruise and the location was very convenient. So while the convenience may justify the higher price, I'm not sure that i would do it again.
