Nice stay. The hotel is super convenient to the PATH trains and Newport is a great little place in Jersey City. The rooms are definitely dated and due for an upgrade.

I should not have to be a member of the Marriott Bonvoy club to have helpful service when staying at a Marriott hotel. I was told I could check in an hour earlier than normal because there was a room available. When asked if I was a member and I replied no, the offer to check in was rudely rescinded.

There is no real view of the city at least from my room and I believe the young lady at the front desk said... Only some had a partial view.

We chose this hotel so we could easily come and go for the 4th of July & see the fireworks on the Jersey side of the Hudson after a decade ♥️ We would definitely stay here again. The location offers plenty of meal options aside from what the hotel offers and it’s near the water. A short 5min walk if that & you are by the waters edge with a great view of Manhattan.

For a 4-star rating one would expect a hair dryer for the wife...not there. The room was nice / clean... There was a couch that I have never seen before...rough texture...was awkward to sit in as the seat was very wide front to back...requiring to stuff pillows behind. A TV channel line-up sheet would be nice. Was a great stay...ThankYou

There was no information on paid parking and breakfast. I should have taken a hotel half mile away that had free parking and breakfast included. It was a good hotel, but bathroom was not great and surely it was not value for money.
