I recently stayed at this resort from 10/12 - 10/16, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Upon arrival, the check-in process seemed nice until we were directly sent to a sales club to offer a "rewards program". They did not want to take no for an answer and proceeded to tell us they wanted to host a celebratory breakfast for our 5 year wedding anniversary and then have a 60 minute presentation. They showed us three options of gifts and the only one that interested us was the nest which was a very unique bali bed by the salt water pool. The salt water pool was the reason we booked this resort as it was gorgeous and unique. We told the sales man that we just heard at check in that the salt water pool was shut down due to damage from the hurricane a couple of weeks ago. We should have been notified of this before we arrived but especially before agreeing to this breakfast/presentation. This was an extreme let down for us. We went to the presentation which lasted 3 hours (they took us to a buffet, no celebratory breakfast). Afterwards, we worked out having a bali bed by the infinity pool instead to make up for the nest. When the time came (which happened to be on our last day there), my butler proceeded to inform me that it was only for the beach, not the infinity pool.
