Lovely stay at the Clayton, really close to the tube and easy to walk around London from here too. Enjoyed the breakfast, would definitely stay here again .

Have stayed before and will come again!
We booked at short notice and arrived early evening. We received a warm welcome with a table booked there and then for dinner. We were also offered breakfast, but declined on this occasion. Our room was great and the public areas are clean and spacious. This hotel is in a great location for walking to St Katherine’s Dock and the Tower of London, for example, and is close to Aldgate East tube station to get further afield.

Will be back
First time at the hotel, i work in london most weeks, enjoy exploring the city and different hotels, this hotel was great. The reception staff amazingly friendly and lovely. I will be coming back again (next week) and hopefully the experience is equal to what i had this time. If there is only one recommendation it would be to service the room a lot earlier.

The hotel is located in a good area just a couple of minutes walk from Aldgate East station, Spittlefields Market is around 10 minutes walk away and there is a shop 100 meters away which is open until 1am in case you want a late snack. Breakfast is really good with a selection of hot and cold food plus smoothies and (never seen before) banana bread. The hotel is located in London city so they are careful who comes into the hotel however as a guest you are also put through the third degree to get in after dark. Overall a nice stay.

Nice hotel, but the thermostat in the room could not be adjusted and the windows were not operatable. Therefore, it was very warm in the room. In fact, the temperature in the entire hotel was too warm.

Our family of 5 gave it a 4.5/10. Friendly staff at the desk, housekeeping not so much. Terribly noisy with sirens all the time. Very difficult to get in and out of and no place to easily get an Uber or Taxi and half the time they don’t understand where to pick you up at or drop you off. Biggest complaint was we requested two rooms next to each other and they literally gave us 2 room on opposite corners of the floor. The corner rooms have two locked doors to go thru which also seemed odd. Rooms are nice but very small and already need quite a bit of maintenance. Our shower leaked all over the floor every time you shower. Limited places to put any luggage. Would not come back or recommend. There’s better places to stay for the money.

The Clayton City Hotel is pleasant with helpful staff and good links to central and west London via algate east. The hotel is clean with a relaxed atmosphere, set in a vibrant area of London. We enjoyed our stay.
