This hotel is in a beautiful part of London, opposite Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Istrongly recommend this hotel.

Very poor condition
We were given a room on the ground floor. The window did not shut properly and the room was damp. The window also was singled glazed and it rattled in the wind. We moved to a room on the top floor and we moved because it was warmer but the maintenance man turned up with 3 plug in heaters as the air conditioning was not working and there was mould on the pillow cases when we went to go to sleep

This is one very tired hotel. I paid over £300 for one night without breakfast in a business suite. The heating electrical panel did not work and the ceiling outlet which also did AC only blew out cold air. The room was very cold anyway as it was early December. I had to go back down to reception twice in person as there was no phone in the room to call them, even though Reception assured me there was. But the maintenance staff did provide two plug in portable heaters very quickly once I had been down twice to complain. The bathroom was also freezing with no heated towel rail. The hot water did not come through the shower either in the evening or the morning even though I had it running for well over 5 mins beforehand. Luckily, there was a bath for which the hot tap did work. Bedside lamps were dusty and there were stray hairs around. Paintwork was tired and chipped and in good need of freshening up. At this price, I would NOT recommend this hotel. Just because of its situation overlooking Hyde Park they should not be allowed to charge such extortionate prices for such poor quality facilities.

The first night we were in a room overlooking Hyde park and the traffic was very noisy so we asked to be moved to another room . The young man on reception was very obliging and moved us to a much quieter room it was a lot better. The hotel staff were very friendly . The rooms are a bit dated but nice and clean . I would definitely stay there again .

The location, staff and amenities were great. Very good accessibility to central London with an underground station within 5 minutes walk. Only let down was some of the room maintenance, I feel the the room was fairly priced and a great size for a family of 4 but seeing loose fittings for shower curtain rails, taps that are poorly fixed and lights that don't work is a bit unacceptable in a hotel of this standard. All in all we loved our stay and getting the breakfast included is definitely worthwhile.

We had a wonderful sleep, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. While the rooms could benefit from some upgrades, the character of the old building adds a unique charm to the experience. Also great location for metro and train from Heathrow.

Great service at this hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Room well equipped and clean although some attention to windows needed. We ate here both nights of our stay, menu very good and food freshly cooked very hot and reasonably priced. Breakfast was varied there was something for everyone.

Functional and satisfactory, but not luxury
I often stay at this hotel when I am in London for business. It's convenient and comfortable, with less street noise than many city hotels. The rooms are well equipped and functional. The AC is efficient and not too noisy. The restaurant does a good club sandwich and the staff are always professional and helpful. I wouldn't stay here for a special ocassion because the price is too high for the standard offered and the rooms need renovating.

Between Paddington and Hyde Park
The Corus is well situated between Paddington and Hyde Park. So in one direction you have the beauty of nature and wide open spaces (the gorgeous Italian Gardens!) and in the other you have access to Paddington and the whole of London and beyond. Located within easy distance of the Circle Line. Access to the city while still being quiet and off the beaten path. My room was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was a lack of places for clothes so I had to live out of my suitcase.

Beautiful reception area. Wide choice of breakfast items. Our room (374) was basic and had a very small bed. The radiator has been removed from the wall, and it was difficult to get warm air via the aircon system. The socket by the kettle has also been damaged and one wall light continually flickered. It would have been nice to view the superior rooms to see if it was worth upgrading.

Possibly the largest room I have ever had in Britain. 10 min. walk to many rest. on Queensway. 20 min. walk to shopping on Oxford St. Across from Hyde Park. Front desk staff and bartender were pleasant. Would consider staying again. 8.5/10

The room was very small and dated, only one chair for a room that sleeps two people. TV was small and barely visible from the bed. The bed was against one wall so could only be accessed from one side or the end. Have had much larger rooms for less then the price we paid. Overall very disappointed and will not be staying here again

Disappointing as the rooms were much smaller than advertised. The bath was blocked in one room so couldn't use the shower. It was meant to be fixed but after 2 nights it was not. Shower base also blocked in second room. By the third night we had to ask for an upgrade just to shower. Thank you very much to Alice as she went out of her way to assist. Dinner took an hour to receive on 2 nights with only three small tables ordering. They do a great breakfast, and the location is quiet and close to transport. There is a very helpful laundromat up the road if you need laundry done.
