This was a perfect place for us to stay. I was looking for cheap but also for clean. It was both. A for the cleanliness. We also had personable staff who gave us a great recommendation for a breakfast restaurant and also let us keep our luggage with them for a few hours, which really helped us.

my own fault - but i booked this without fully checking this. The room had a strong odour upon walking in - i went out for a walk came back and the smell was still there. In addition the rooms dont have toilets which i find very odd and inconvenient - i decided to relocate to another hotel due to the smell and lack of facilities within the room

The Princess was perfect for me!! Starting with the great communication before I arrived, then continued great service throughout my stay, and a helpful goodbye as I left. Couple things I didn’t like: No private bathroom. In USA we take that for granted. Don’t. It was an unpleasant surprise. Having said that, they accommodated a room upgrade for £45. It was a bit warm and A/C was also xtra. For £165 a night I would expect that, so I think the room ended being too expensive for what it offered. We did not take the A/C upgrade. I still round up the stay to 5 stars because the staff was super friendly. They accommodated several requests I made with a very warm and friendly attitude. That is not so common these days, and customer service goes a long way for me. Also, it is located in a very centric area with access to all kinds of transportation to move around the city. Kings Cross station is less that a block away.

I paid £85 pounds for two nights and considering the location(a couple of hundred meters away from kings cross/saint Pancras station entrances), it was great value. I booked a room with two single beds, the beds were a bit small but the room was a good size. The toilet/shower was shared, there were four floors and a shared bathroom on the top and ground floor, I'm not sure what the situation was like for the other floors. The toilet and showers were clean but the room was very small. The hotel is in a great location and the room was nice(no AC) and seemed perfectly safe, great value for money, I'd recommend it.

Excellent for a solo traveler who plans to spend most of the day out and about but wants a quiet space to sleep. Room was decently sized, with a very comfortable twin bed, desk and chair, TV and a sink, which was nice as I didn’t have to use the shared bathroom for things like brushing my teeth. No elevator, and I was on the third floor, which I didn’t mind, but something to know if stairs are an issue. Hallway was a little stinky from the bathroom, but the odor did not carry into my room, and I really appreciated being on the same floor as the shower. Room was pretty warm, but cooled off when I opened the windows and turned on the fan. The fan did take a few minutes to get moving but worked fine once I gave it some time. Best of all, the area is very, very quiet. The room got a lot of light in the morning, which was nice, and again it’s an excellent place if you just need a good night’s sleep. You don’t enter through the lobby, you have a key to the side door to get in, which was a little unusual but absolutely fine. Very close to Kings Cross station, so vey convenient. Excellent value for the budget traveler, and I would certainly stay there again.
