My stay at the meridian hotel was not personable. There was no front desk attendant to greet us or check us out. When we had to go back in to get something, we couldn’t get in to the building.

Let me start with the positives; The staff Luis and Axel very helpful and go above for their guests to have the best experience! (They are the reason my review is not 1 star) The hotel is in a nice location, a walk away from the beach and the beds are very comfortable. However, I personally would not stay in this hotel again, it’s massively disappointing in terms of cleanliness and attention to detail. On arrival we were given barely any information by one of the female staff members, she just provided our room number and code. The corridors stunk of damp and all kinds of smells, the walls are paper thin, the room felt damp and sticky., we had no towels on arrival and when they did arrive, they were covered in stains. Our room was not cleaned and we had to request this multiple times before they finally did. Since checking out, I noticed a payment had been taken from my credit card without my authorisation on the day we left the accommodation, when there was no outstanding balance for the room. I’ve contacted the hotel multiple times before receiving an unclear / rude response. my advice is DO NOT STAY HERE, If cleanliness and honesty is a huge must for you.

Horrible customer service. Lobby was only open for a fraction of the day. Valet not open at all hours. Only available via text after hours. Waited 2+ hours to receive our car along with dozens of text messages and broken promises of when we would get our keys back. Not sure if they fully clean the rooms between guests as ours had food left in the drawers. An overall terrible experience would never stay there again

We didn’t sleep any of the nights because of the loud noises and music. The room was extremely dirty. We couldn’t even use the mirror because they wiped it with a dirty rag and it was all cloudy. Parking is a hassle.

Charged more to my card than I was quoted, nearest parking garage is 3 blocks away, very noisy, from both the street and from guests dogs barking, which no one seemed to want to do anything about, on site food and beverage is a joke. Stay far away from this place

The property was fine. Nobody was ever at the front desk. I was sent a number to text. When I checked in. They gave me the wrong room so the door code didn’t work. It took them a minute to figure out what was going on. Then I was finally told I was given the wrong room number. It was very frustrating.

Stayed here one night before a cruise and the location was perfect with nearby shopping and eateries within walking distance. Check-in was easy & online and we felt safe. We had to request more towels and call front desk twice after no one brought any. After returning from the cruise we stayed another night and again not enough towels! Requested more twice again and was told the storage key wasn’t available. What??!!! Can’t take some from a vacant room or do whatever you need. After waiting for over 30 minutes with pure disdain we decided to go and purchase towels. For reference, there were 3 people in my group and both times only towels for 2. This isn’t an unusual expectation but the response sure was, at the very least. Bring your own towels unless you want to save the universe by skipping a shower during your stay.

Great quick stay!
The hotel was very nice and quaint. Within walking distance of your needs. There is food onsite and the staff is pleasant. We had to wait longer for face towels but no other issues.

I was not provided accommodation as promised at this property. They asked me to go to another property without any prior notice. The parking was included in my reservation but the parking issue was not sorted in time. I had to go to and fro between the 2 hotels where I had parking and a different hotel where I had to stay which was not the meridian hotel. Due to this back and forth and delay in sorting out on the accommodation, I missed out a non refundable activity booking and also I just had a one night stay and missed going to the south Miami Beach that evening. I never had face such inconvenience in my experience with Expedia. I look forward to hear from you regarding fixing this inconvenience and make sure it do not happen to other customers.
