Sleek, coastal designed 8 BR, 8.5 BA beach house that sleeps 32 guests comfortably. Situated on historic Scenic Gulf Drive, this home offers sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. The Gray Whale boasts one of Northwest Florida's' largest resort style swimming pools complete with massive waterfall spa, tanning shelf and various water features. At night, the beautiful LED lights illuminate the resort pool making for a truly memorable view.

The large, private, enclosed pool area comes complete with a covered outdoor porch featuring a bar, outdoor kitchen and pool view large screen television. Enjoy a five hole putting green (complete with putters and golf balls) is provided to sharpen your putting skills. The fire pit with built in seating is the perfect location for relaxing on a cool evening. There is even a large poolside pavilion perfect for hosting any special event.

The first floor layout boasts a spacious game room complete with wet bar, regulation size Brunswick pool table, arcade game cocktail table and large screen television and seating.

The second floor features three King suites all with private bathrooms including the master suite of the house. The master suite has a private door to a pool view balcony. There is a second bunkroom complete with full bathroom. There is also a large spacious gulf view balcony accessible by the entire floor. Laundry room is at the end of the second floor hallway.

The third floor is the focal point of the indoor living space with a sleek, open concept, coastal living room featuring pecky, pine ceilings, generous windows with expansive gulf views, multiple seating areas and open to the kitchen and dining room for optimal flow. The dining area offers seating for 16 while 4 more can sit at the breakfast bar. An additional 6 diners can sit at the third floor balcony dining table overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The ample sized gourmet kitchen features a professional 7-Burner Double Convection Oven, separate beverage center, ice maker, ample storage and is anchored by a massive center island.

The rooftop deck with it's panoramic gulf views is the perfect setting for coffee or sunset cocktails.

Located on the front row of Miramar Beach, the famous Scenic Gulf Drive Hike and Bike Trail is right outside your front door. Pompano Joe's and Whales Tail are a short walk or bike ride away. Seasonal Beach Chair Service - Our complimentary seasonal beach service is offered for Peak Season. This includes 2 chairs and 1 umbrellas set up daily on the beach from 9am-5pm. Dates of Service are March 1-November 30th.

Private Elevator- This home features a private elevator. This is an optional $350 fee to use during guests stays. Guests who opt out of the fee will not have the elevator for use during their stay.*Private Elevator for Baggage or Guests Unable to Climb Stairs ONLY.*

We absolutely loved the house! It accommodated all of our guests so well and had plenty of room! We had some issues with the elevator which was medically necessary for some of our guests but every time we called they were able to get it fixed! I do think the amount of towels and hand towels was not nearly enough for the size of the house, there were lots of people who either didn’t get towels in their room or had no washcloths. The only other thing was the cleanliness of the home. The floors were not cleaned and there were stains on some of the rugs in the room and possible vomit in some of the showers on the walls. The backyard was everything and more. We had our wedding reception and it was absolutely beautiful! Again we had some issues with the pool lights but maintenance was able to fix it and had them on all night for us. Other than the cleaning and amount of towels everything else was perfect.

Great location, big house, great for kids.
The property is as advertised. It's large, has a great game room the kids enjoyed, large pool with a very large spa connected to the pool. It's literally a 5 min walk to the beach, just across the street. Limited access beach and we had 2 chairs reserved for us, brought lots more ourselves of course. We had 20 people in the house, several couples and kids and it worked great. It was over Labor Day weekend 2024 so a busy time of year. I do want to comment that while the house is well stocked with dishes and appliances, there were no basic condiments, not a huge issue, but usually we expect salt, pepper, some cooking oil etc. Not enough garbage bag, paper towels dish detergent, or dishwasher pods for a 20 person group, we had to buy some of our own. The fire pit did not work and the maintenance person they sent said it hasn't been working for some time. Disappointing as it was something we did want to use. The biggest challenge we had was the 'spam' the company kept sending. I don't mind getting offers for things I may want to use on the trip, but they sent that offer several times over email. When I opted out, they started sending them over VRBO. VRBO should block these types of messages. It was several per day at times leading up to our stay. Overall this is a great property, the management team communicated well, sent people out when needed. Location is awesome and we had a great time.

All of the walls needed to be painted (not a big deal but it set a first impression that was backed up as we explored the home). Gray Whale Family Vacay 2023
This was our first visit to Destin and even though I had great communication with the managing company prior to the visit, I just hoped that the property would meet the needs of a group of 19. It went above and beyond. Great location; very clean; beautiful kitchen; the elevator was a lifesaver (we had older adults w/ bad knees/backs) and very near the beach. The view from the top balcony and the kitchen was breathtaking. The street in front was a little busy but that just means that you are close to everything. There is literally a souvenir shop a few steps away; ice cream is only a few steps away; and there is a Winn Dixie and Wal-Mart very close by for your grocery needs. It is also located a very short drive away from the Outlet Mall. The backyard w/ the pool is very private which we loved. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils/supplies (there is a Keurig and regular coffee pots). If you like to use dish towels, however, I suggest bringing some along. The washer and dryer is awesome (we did bring along our own detergent and dryer sheets - baskets are provided). There are plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms, and closets. There are towels provided in each bathroom but if you use a lot of towels I recommend bringing a few extra along as well as an extra blanket if you are going to utilize the pull out sofas. The sheets/pillows are provided. We had one minor issue w/ grill - contacted mgmt and they sent someone out right away. 10/10 would stay again.

This was a great place to host my mother’s 80th birthday.
The property suited all of our needs. The booking process was easy and the Beach Reunion management group was very helpful throughout the process. The elevator was a must with over 1/2 of my guest over the age of 65, luggage & bringing groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen. This was an added expense, but well worth it. The outdoor furniture & grill wasn’t clean as much as I would like it, so we bleached and cleaned it ourselves. Also the living room furniture could use a little cleaning. The location was a short 2 min walk to the beach. The only thing that I didn’t read clearly was finding out that there was an extra charge to have the heated feature for the pool & spa to be activated from May-Sept. My family really enjoyed this location and it was more than enough space for our 16 guest. I would recommend this place to anyone with large group.

Awesome stay!
Everyone in our party enjoyed their stay. The house sleeps 32 ppl and we fit all 32 comfortable. Very close to shopping centers and outlets. Close drive to boat rental for crab Island. House had plenty of cooking pots and utensils. Kids and the adults loved the pac-man arcade in the game room. Short walk to the public side beach and pampanos joes. Plenty of pool toys n floats in the Shedd. We all had a great time sitting around the fire just cutting up. House had a few bikes for use. Was a little warm down stairs but had a couple of fans in closets. Could have used a few extra blankets and pillows. No doubt we will be returning in the near future.

The property is nice but lacked the work of keeping items in proper condition. We had several days when the elevator was not working, a bathroom sink leaking, an unclean grill, and old rusty bikes with flat tires. However, the property management team was quick to respond to these issues. In my opinion, if housekeeping was thoroughly checked before guests arrived, the entire stay would have been much better.

Rented this property for a week to decompress. Location is great since it’s not in the heart of all the action but close enough to it. The backyard was fantastic for relaxing. We experienced some issues related to Hurricane Ida but the property management was very responsive and easy to work with. Keeping this location in mind for future visits with friends and family

We stayed at the Gray Whale during hurricane Sally and the rental company was "OUTSTANDING" to us. We lost power and they moved our whole group to another home with power. The only negative point to the house is the refrigerator is small and really does not accommodate 32 people.

Amazing Vacation Home
The Gray Whale was amazing. The accommodations were exactly what we needed for our family of 10 (with rooms to spare) to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation. The Gray Whale has everything for your entertainment. On the days we decided not to go out, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, miniature golf, pool table and cornhold right on the property. The location is convenient to stores, outlet shopping and the amazing beach. Our beach view from the property was beautiful. The property manager(s) were very nice and easy to reach. Logan and Susan were great and very professional. Our family will definitely stay at this location again.

We just got back from staying at the Gray Whale. The house was amazing!!! Plenty of room, amazing outdoor space, huge pool and very clean! We had 6 kids and 6 adults and it was more than enough. Ice cream shop basically next door. Able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, shops and much more. I would rent this property again. Private beach access would put it over the top. I little further walk than we would like but that is because so much to bring with the kids. Still a great location and house. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
