The only negative to this property is that it is so big you need a shuttle and they are hard to come by. Plan to wait at least half an hour at dinner times to get to your reservation. Other than that the property is amazing, the meals were fantastic, the rooms were large and the room was well air conditioned!

The place was beautiful! No beach to go in unless you go to maroma. The staff could be nicer, some of them would make some sort of face to you. And the carts could be a bit more consistent

The food was excellent, service excellent, spa amazing .. the only complaint we had was the consistency with housekeeping.. the room was cleaned daily but when they take your towels .. they dont re-stock.. Front desk staff inconsistent with communications.. nobody sent the message to get our bags .. had to recheck with conciege after wating 1/2 hr after our 1230 pm appt. for the bell boy to come

Beautiful property. pool areas were fun. Staff always friendly. Great food and amenities and the included excursions saved us money compared to a resort with no included excursions. Our least enjoyed part was probably the beach as it is in a turbulent area with lots of constant large waves so not much beach time, but that was made up by the included excursion to the maroma beach club. Overall a fantastic experience and will consider coming back in the future.

the hotel is very extended along the beach, so one needs to take trolleys. Another thing is that the ocean is not swimmable. otherwise it was great!

Our room is the farest from the front entrance. Getting room service and the shuttle are uneasy when the request is in high demand so it usually takes us 15mins to walk. We like the property quietness and atmosphere. Lots of activities to do in all times

This was our first time visiting El Dorado Royale, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The property is very well maintained and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was good, with a wide variety of places to dine at. It would be nice if they had a late-night snack bar on the Royale side as the pizzeria had inconsistent hours and only offered pizza. The resort was busy but still felt quiet, which was nice. The Royale side doesn't have the greatest beach access, but there were plenty of loungers and cabanas to enjoy (Casitas and Generations have better beach access). The pools were well-kept and clean but were very cold! The main pool was always busy, but there are quieter pools throughout the resort if that's what you're looking for. Overall, we had an amazing time, and we will be returning.

We just stayed here for 3 nignts for our 20th anniversary, very Clean well kept property, amazing staff, and the food/drinks were great. Its a large resort with many pools, we enjoyed our private swim-up pool and entertainment

Resort transportation from airport didn’t work. Resort not answer phone to arrange pickup. We made our own Cancun transfers at our own expense.

We had an amazing time staying at El Dorado Royale. Upgrading to the premium room was a good choice that i would recommend. Some vendors on the beach are disruptive. It would be helpful to incorporate shuttle stop times into the app. The perfume in the main lobby is very strong and headache inducing to those sensitive to scents. Overall the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The property is overall a beautiful spot to spend your vacation, they offer some additional benefits like round trip transportation from airport - hotel, a Catamaran and brunch at the El Dorado Maroma Beach, access to AquaNick and a tour to Rancho Bonanza Cenote, our room was well kept and if anything was missing they were quick to respond and provide. I suggest to open a Buffett restaurant for dinner, as there are days that options are limited or not available. El Dorado Royale and Casitas definitely need a couple of restaurants each, owners needs to invest money to remove those concrete wave blockers, they do take away the appeal and view, there is not much beach to enjoy, however, I still had a great time and enjoyed everything the resort has to offer. I will definitely will return some day during summer, the water in the pools was cold, wish they had the option to heat the water and put some jacuzzi's near the pools.

The property was both private and also easy to navigate, impeccably clean, the grounds gorgeous and perfectly maintained, and visible security everywhere I went. The food was phenomenal, the best I've ever had at a resort, with endless options and anything I could possibly want to eat.
