Finally back from our trip and have had some time to reflect. I wanted to give an honest, detailed review, because I know the previous reviews had an influence on my decision. Overall, we had an amazing time at Senses. What you are getting is an intimate, relaxing vacation when you stay here. It's adults only, and not heavy on activities. For the price, it's not much to upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The rooms are massive. The patios have a great view, and super private. We were never worried about anyone being able to see us in our room or on the balcony. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay on the first floor, everyone at the pool can see into your room, which would really defeat the purpose of having an ocean view. Our room was great. We made friends with other couples who had a much worse time. One couple didn't have hot water the entire trip. Another had to change rooms because their bed was broken. If that had happened to us, I'd be writing a much different review, and it definitely explained some of the other reviews I read when booking this. You're going to get to know the staff, and they are all amazing and go above and beyond. I enjoyed every meal I had there. But the availability of food was a bit of an issue. There are no late night options, so if you don't get back till 10:30 pm, you're out of luck. They tended to be out of a lot of things at the pool bar, which was annoying. Portions can be small, but you can always order more. Overall though, great stay.

The pictures of the rooms looked really nice. It seems since the original building of this hotel they haven't put much money into maintaining it so the place was starting to fall apart. The jacuzzis on the balconies were all broken. The jacuzzi in our room would leak such that it wouldn't fill. Tiles were falling off in the pool. The only activities they had beside the pool was a pool table and crappy dart board. They never had what was on the menu for lunch. Rooms weren't all that clean and sometimes didnt have towels. That said it was still overall a beautiful location and dinner staff were very friendly and accomodating.

The people were very friendly and accommodating. Most of the food was fantastic, one of my breakfasts was a bit over cooked. The dinners were very good. We got a different themed menu every night. The dessert was always fantastic, we had cheescake, chocolate lava cake, apple crapes. Very upper scale food. If you are looking for buffet style this is not your place. The little pool side bar you could get hotdogs, burgers, frys and most alcoholic beverages you would want. Pool was very refreshing but some of the tiles were falling off but is right in front of the ocean so that was nice. If you wanted to go shopping you need to take a taxi about 20min and most of the drivers would set up a time to pick you up and bring you home when you were done. We were there for New Years Eve and they hosted a fancy dinner with a live saxophone player. He was really good. At midnight we got to watch fireworksfrom two other resorts that were close by.

Rooms were ok, shower areas floor were broken, the balcony pool had to be filled at request, we couldent fill it or use it when we’re wanted to as it took too long to fill. The outside pool was dirty hence we didn’t use it at all. Food was good! Definitely liked the food! Especially their hot sauce. The road in was horrible soo many potholes. Once we got to hotel, I felt it’s way over priced for the size of the hotel, we could have spend $500 more and get a whole resort in Hilton or any major brands. They call them self a resort but it’s not it’s a hotel. All you see in the images is exactly what you get there is nothing more. Won’t be booking them again.

We tried to cancel our reservation due to some reviews and we are so glad we didn't!!!! We enjoyed our stay at Senses very much and will be back! Christian who works at the welcome desk was friendly, welcoming and most helpful. The food was just excellent in both the snack restaurant and the dining room upstairs. The serving staff was so very friendly, professional and efficient. I lost my list of names I wanted to mention but there were two people who made our mealtime extra special. One was the middle aged gentleman who served breakfast and lunch. The other was a very well spoken young man who spoke perfect English and served at the dinner spot. Both men seemed to be head servers. You may recognize them but the entire staff was great. The views are the most amazing you can ask for. The rooms are very spacious and clean. There are a few upgrades that would be nice like the couch, but you can see they are working around the resort fixing, upgrading and painting. You can message via WhatsApp for any issues and the emails are responded to within minutes. All rooms are ocean view and pool view rooms are ground floor. Sitting around the pool was wonderful. Beach access to the north side is easy... beach access to the south side depends on the tide. We rented a car and part of the road in is rocky but nothing crazy. Resort is nestled among a neighbourhood and other resorts. We loved the size, location, meals and staff. Very relaxing stay. We will definitely return!

We had read some negative reviews and we did not have their same experience. We had a great time and let’s be honest, you get what you pay for! If you just coming for. Couple days it is a great place to relax. If I were staying longer than 3 days I would book elsewhere because it does not have scheduled activities etc. we loved the staff and we WILL be back.

Don't go here. Save your money. Such a huge let down. Hot water only worked part of the time. Alomst impossible to get clean towels. Room was very dusty and dirty and smelled like a cave. The bed sheets felt damp. Hundreds of tiles missing from the pool area. Bar by the pool was gross, rusty, run down and using recycled water bottles for the mixer containers. Waited at least 30 minutes for breakfast and dinner every day. We will never go back to this horrible place. Such a bait and switch!!

I would start by saying that we were put into a room with no towels, and it had no curtains (just sheers), so the light came in at 630 am. We upgraded to a larger room with a little kitchenette, which one would have to assume would we outfitted with something, but not in this case. Two cups and a coffee maker. Not even a spoon to stir your coffee. No iron or ironing board. After we complained to the front desk they moved us to a room one floor down. When we got to that room, which had blinds on the windows facing the ocean but on the other side of the unit was another window with no curtain. Of course there is a big light outside of that window so the room never got dark. It was like sleeping with the lights on all night. The second room had no coffee maker, no cups, no glasses, nothing. Again we had to message the front desk to try and get a room which was prepared. When they say "All inclusive", they mean you can have a choice of two entrees at dinner - either spagetti or chicken. When we went to the pool again they had no towels. Pulled out a rusty nail off the pool floor. And the edge of the pool has a constant flock of seaguls sitting on it pooping in the pool all day long. The only bright spot in this entire resort was Hernan in the dining room who's service was really great. He tried to make the best of a terrible situation. Do not even think about going to this "resort", it's a hole. I'm only giving it one star because there is no option to give zero stars.

The staff is incredible. The food was great - different meal options every day. It’s a pitty you can’t access the public beach area to the right of the hotel - the stairs are broken and there is a big drop to the sand so that you can’t access it safely.

The room was nice, but theres only 1 restaurant and never a buffet, so your choices of food are slim! there is no beach access. so you have to go next door to the other hotel to be on the beach and cross through the water which can be difficult during high tide because you almost get slammed against a wall. They need to build a bridge or something safer. hotel check in was different and not helpful when checking in. we basically had to ask for anything and directions to everything on our own. i would not recommend this place to anyone. Theres better places that are really "all inclusive" and have several restaurant choices and even shops inside their hotel! this place onyl has a vending machine

Great location for a private getaway. Rooms are large great view and sound of the ocean. Clean and well maintained and friendly staff and service. The resort needs a good a mount of up keep with repairs especially the road getting to the resort. And better information signs posted for resort location.

Road to property was unpaved. Lower level rooms smelled of mold, but staff moved us to upper level. Great job. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay.

The atmosphere was peaceful and tranquil, with few dining options and very limited activities within the "resort". The ocean view and poolside area were the main highlights. There also seemed to be a lot of renovations underway during my stay, so hopefully, they'll improve their services soon.

We had a pleasant stay overall and absolutely loved the location—it was stunning and convenient for exploring the area. The hotel itself has great potential, with charming features, but the building and pool could use some TLC to bring them back to their full glory. The food was a bit hit or miss; on some days, when the chef was available, it was great, but on others, it lacked consistency. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our time and believe this place could be fantastic with a few updates.

The hotel was a tad out dated and needs repairs, hot water is a maybe, and don’t plan on sleeping in - the black out curtains don’t work. Beach access is limited, and food was rough, get off resort for food. Over all it was a nice stay, Pedro at the bar and dinning personal were awesome. Front desk was helpful but not when our property was taken and not found which was my biggest disappointment of the trip. Sofia was rude and not interested in helping at all, Christian was more helpful but nothing was ever done regarding our property not being found.

Water that came out of the faucets was yellow. Slow service at times and workers served certain people and walked right passed us. No immediate beach area and if you wanted the good beach you had to navigate slippery rocks, punishing waves and trash. We made the best of it but we definitely wont be going to this one again
