What a treat to find a place near Asbury/Ocean Grove that has enough free parking and is on the beach block! The inn is a nicely redone Victorian with a super breakfast menu included in the overnight rate. We had possibly the least desirable room (under a third-floor dormer) and it was still fine for a beach weekend. Good bed, nice AC. We think the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

This stay was part 3 of a week spent in different places. It was quiet, great onsite parking, a few steps to the ocean and restaurants. The manager and her staff ran this establishment so professionally for all guests~ whether it was accommodations, beach needs or meals. The breakfast was amazing, with the best homemade muffins!! I would certainly book a stay here again!

Great inn on the beach
This was the 3rd time I stayed there. This inn is a traditional bed and breakfast, decorated throught with antique furniture. It's very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is delicious and Teresa bake muffins in season as well as cookies which guests can have as a snack. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The boardwalk and beach are directly across the street, and the inn provides beach chairs, towels, and beach tags. There are great restaurants within walking distance too.

Best Place to Stay!!!
The Cashelmara is the best place we’ve stayed at so far out of all the places we’ve stayed in Spring Lake, Ocean Grove and Avon-by-the-Sea. The staff are welcoming, wonderful, and accommodating! We had a nice sized third floor room (considering the age of the house). Hooks in the bathroom for our day’s clothing would have been nice, as would have been a holder for the bathtub/shower spray hose. The slanted ceiling over the bathtub was inconvenient for anyone over 5’ 5” taking a shower, but it was doable. Delicious made-to-order breakfasts were a good start to our day, and the daily treats were a tasty bonus!! The short walk to the ocean was perfect for my sister who has circulatory problems. Cashelmara has comfortable rockers on the front porch and loungers in the front lawn if you want to relax in front of the lake across the street. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful B&B. Breakfast outstanding. Room was clean. I was never told that our room was on the third floor (no elevator) staircase to the third floor was very narrow very difficult to get luggage up the stairs. Shower was a complete joke. I am 6’2” 255. Almost had to call for the jaws of life to get me out. Could not wash my body could not bend over

The hospitality at Cashelmara Inn is exceptional. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There were homemade treats in the lobby area each day, brownies and cookies. The breakfast was delicious both days. You can certainly tell their business comes from a place of passion. I highly recommend the Cashelmara Inn.

Very cute B&B. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was up on the top 3 rd floor. Slanted ceilings, easy to bump you head. We had 2 queen beds. No way could 2 people sleep in a bed; the inside person would bump their head when they sat up. Had to climb over a high tub to get in, and use a spray hose to was up. Lots of towels, soaps, lotions provided.

When I was a teenager, I used to drive past the Cashelmara Inn and say: someday I’m going to stay there. I left the state decades ago, but I finally made my wish come true. The Inn is beautiful. Walking inside is like taking a step back in time, in the very best way. It retains all of the charm of a bygone era, yet has all of the modern amenities that you could need or want. The bed was so comfortable, I had my best sleep in two weeks of traveling. When we return to New Jersey next year, the trip will include a stay at Cashelmara.

Nice place. Excellent staff.
The staff were really friendly and the breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed the close location to the beach. Our room/bathroom was a bit run down - lots of obvious marks on the wall, bathroom cabinet missing drawer pulls, etc. However, the bed was comfortable and we were grateful for a quiet place to stay during a music festival at Asbury Park.

The staff made our stay memorable. Truly great people. The room was “cozy”, shower was tiny for my 6ft 220 frame but doable. The breakfast and snacks were excellent and honestly the best homemade hot sauce I have ever had (and I travel often). Right across the street from the beach but far walk to town.

Wasn't greeted and given a tour of amenities. No information about where pool was and how to access it. Didn't like that their wasn't a manager there at all times. Alittle over priced. Staff that was there during morning were great! Breakfast was very good!
