My girlfriend and I booked this trip about a week in advance. We had to drive 12 hours down from Nebraska for a funeral, with two of our dogs. When we booked through Expedia it said there were no additional or surprise fees, which was not true as neither of us saw the pet fee or incidental fee that we had to pay when we checked in. The room had not been cleaned before we arrived, other than the bed thankfully. There were cracks all over the walls, stains on lampshades and the couch. Only one of the two bedside lamps worked as one didn’t have a switch at all. One of the two bathroom lights had no switch at all either and was always on. The bathroom door had no latch, looked like someone kicked it in and then it never got repaired. The bathtub has rust stains all down the front of the tub. The morning of check out my girlfriend found and killed a roach in the room. We had to wait over an hour to check out, after 8 am. We tried calling multiple times and she tried ringing the buzzer, even knocking. Despite the lobby door saying “open 7 am”. After contacting Expedia for help, she was let in and tried to discuss the issues we had. She was called a liar, told we never tried calling or buzzing in, and was yelled at and cussed at by the manager.he went on to say he sold the property and it wasn’t his problem. After asking for a refund or at least our despot back, she was told to “f**k off, you’re not getting anything. Get out of my hotel or I’ll be using your card information”
