This is our second times at the Grand Sirenis. We find this year to better than last year as it is a lot quieter due to the renovation. Everything was great. Our room was nice; a little mold in the shower but nothing to concerning. Our favourite part of the Grand Sirenis is our concierge service. Shout out to JARED! He was amazing! He made my mom's birthday celebration possible by booking us at the Casa Alma. And he also bought candles for us to use to blow out her dessert. The rest of the concierge team consist of Nairobi, Cristopher and Hector also was good. The main buffet servicing staffs was also amazing. Our biggest complaint is the lack of service in the buffet by the pool aka the Brazilian buffet but the grilling lady that cook our breakfast and lunch was great! Overall, we will definitely be back in the future.

I LOVE the Grand Sirenis! We've visited Riviera Maya about 5 times now but the first time here. Fabulous property and the most lovely, friendly staff. The photos on the website do not do this place justice! The beaches are large and beautiful, bring your snorkel! the optional Akumal turtle snorkle from the resort is an absolute must do activity as well. The lazy river is so much fun and the pools are spacious and pretty. The wildlife is above and beyond spectacular. BUT. And I do understand it may be because of the ongoing reservations. Other reviews mentioned that it is very easy to make dinner reservations (Peruvian & Casa Alma are easily 5* restaurant quality dining sport) we found this not to be the case. When we arrived the bookings were already gone (you need your room # to use the online res system) and I have dairy allergies, so one night due to an injury I did not eat, the next night I was relegated to the buffet where the only thing I could eat were tortilla chips. We ended up figuring out the rest with sheer luck. Then we found that despite tipping room service daily (a personal choice) we did not have new waters or sodas in the room 2 x, as well as no soap or shampoo. This was eventually rectified but we needed to speak to 4 different people for this to happen, eventually. We were compensated, but be on top of things if you need service as it is not immediate. All being said, we cannot wait to return when the renovations are complete. Muchas Gracias Sirenis!

The hotel was nice even though the entrance is long and you have to walk down a lot of steps to go to the main area. The staff is helpful and cordial. The food was good and the rooms were clean. The restaurant reservations were hard to get. We were there for 5 nights and only got two restaurant reservations. They have an abundance of animals freely walking around all the areas. Bothersome when you’re eating and they are all around you.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Ivan was great and very helpful. AC was working properly. The construction the others were talking about was no bother at all. We enjoyed the beach and snorkelling. Family trip with kids aged 8, 3, & 2. Mixed opinions after this trip. Pros: - Beach & lazy river are great. Lots of exploring to do on the beach and the kids all loved the lazy river. - Lots of wildlife. We even got to see iguanas and monkeys which we haven't seen on previous trips. - Concierges we're fantastic. Jared & Omar did a great job taking care of us. Our AC went out and they made it sure it was fixed as soon as possible. Super grateful. - Coffee shop was fantastic too! - Ice cream parlor was a huge hit! Cons: - Lots of restaurants were closed or completely booked. Real bummer. And we weren't there during the busy season. - So much walking. Arguably too much walking for the small children. And we had a stroller. - No life jackets, balls, game rooms, etc. That was a bummer for the kids. Thankfully we brought our own life jackets. They have games and a game room but it's only in the kids club and we didn't want to drop our kids off to do it. - Almost no AC in most places. Never really could get the room cool enough. Restaurants and buffet didn't have much for AC. Some not at all. This was frustrating. Coffee shop was the only spot with really great AC. - Food wasn't really anything spectacular. French restaurant was the best though. To be fair, the resort is renovating so hopefully they will have better AC and more open restaurants soon. Overall the stay was fine. Still a great vacation for our family but if we go back, we'll probably stay somewhere else.

This was our third visit and it exceeded our expectations, especially due to Ricardo and Marlene of Guest Services (Expedia). Whenever we encountered them they greeted us by name and asked if there was anything that we wanted. They provided us with reservations at the restaurants, informed us about special add-ins from Expedia such as a session of hydrotherapy at the spa (no charge), met with us at the Expedia hour and occasionally at the restaurants. Although parts of the resort are under construction it did not affect our stay. The food, especially at the restaurants, was good and sometimes very good. Snorkeling at the beach was generally better than two snorkeling excursions we went on. There were also several activities such as the bicycle tour, archery and rifling that were entertaining and fun. The wildlife around the resort was an especially engaging part of this experience which made it all the more worthwhile.

This is a review from someone who stayed at this resort. I like most people relied on the reviews before booking my trip. After staying there, I am convinced most of these reviews are fake or paid for. This resort was horrible. Room • Wasn’t clean when we arrived • Furniture was missing • We booked a two-bed ocean view room. We receive a room with one bed. We were told to use the sleeper couch but it was damaged. • Ocean view was blocked by a bunch of trees and the patio door to the room was so dirty you couldn’t see out of it • Our bathroom flooded the first day we were there. • There was no door on the bathroom. We asked them to fix this when they cleaned up the flood. The door was poorly installed and looked like it was going to fall off the hinges. It was a heavy glass door and we felt it was going to fall if we even moved it so we weren’t able to use it. • We were only able to take cold showers for two days • TV had no signal for 3 days • You could tell there must have been several leaks in this room because there were patches all over the place • AC didn’t always work. • On our last night there we walked into our room around 3 in the afternoon and there is water all over the floor. The floor is tile, so this caused it to be very slippery. Called to have someone come look at it and get the floors cleaned up. No one showed up. We called 3 more times, and no one showed up. Hi! Our experience at this hotel was truly wonderful. The all-inclusive package exceeded our expectations, offering high-quality food and drinks that made our vacation feel luxurious. The facilities are not only beautiful but also impeccably clean and well-maintained. We had a fantastic time at the spa, and the private beach provided a peaceful, serene escape that we thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, the highlight of our stay was the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Ivan from guest services he is by far the nicest employee we’ve ever met. He truly embodies the spirit of hospitality and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!

If you book with Expedia, make no mistake you are not treated as well as those booking with owners. We were unable to nook any resturants Only through the Expedia desk were we able to get a reservation. Service was bad in the buffet, which we had to eat every meal. Waiters at the beach and most other areas were nonexistent. Alot of the resort was close for renovations, but areas were still advertised. Mosquitos were bad. This was the second and last visit we will make. Buffet food was decent, but not great. The beach and coffee shop were the best part of the resort. Shockingly, advertised as a family friendly resort, however, there were shady guys (saying they were off duty resort staff) openly selling drugs.

We had an amazing stay at Grand Sirenis Maya Riviera. It was our first trip as a couple and it was made memorable by this beautiful resort and the friendly staff! The beach is gorgeous along with 2 pools. We never had a problem finding a seat. There are numerous restaurant options to choose from, our favorites were the French and Mexican. There were 2 buffets and no matter the time of day it seemed one was always open so we were never hungry. One of the main things we loved were all the activities and events they had. We were never bored and always had something to do whether it was the disco, watching live shows, or playing poolside games. We want to give a special shoutout to a few staff members. Diana was super helpful throughout our whole stay. She went above and beyond in so many ways, and we truly felt special with everything she did for us. Juan was also an amazing bartender who always put a smile on our face, and Miguel was an enthusiastic shuttle driver who we had the pleasure to see many times. Ivan also made us feel very welcome at every place we greeted him. Thanks again for making us feel like vip guests Diana! Until next time Cheers

I'm not a resort person, but I have no regrets for my seven days here. I have an active 4 year old and I don't think I've ever had a vacation that felt like vacation. They kids club was so accommodating to my energetic 4 year old. At first I wasn't sure about dropping him off, and felt a little guilty but he begged me to stay and even wanted to visit his last day. They staff was so nice! I speak Spanish and they all spoke English but easily switched to Spanish with me (I don't like to hear English when I'm out of the states!) It was nice practicing with them. The resort is a literal paradise. Ramon at the buffet was the best host, he even helped my son wipe his mouth the days I was at the resort without my partner. My only regret is not taking the bike tour with Cecilio sooner. Tulum is already a natural paradise but Grand Sirenis made my time here celestial.

The scenery throughout the resort was beautiful. The wildlife was a fun addition. I didn’t realize that this wasn’t a beachfront property or that we would only be able to access a cove area for our “beach time”. Being able to snorkel there though was nice.
