This property certainly has changed since I was there a few years ago. Unfortunately, the Restaurant area has declined incredibly with the chef obviously having no pride in his work at all. In addition, the right hand side of the bed base was broken and obviously been like it for a long time and not been repaired. Reception staff was lovely. Would I stay there again? Probably not. Only thing going for it was convenience to the airport.

The cleaning of eg, the window sills should be done as we stay there to watch the view. Easy points. The pool shown in the images was NOT the one at the hotel so not very desirable. The pizza on the snack menu was definitely not up to standard. But the staff were lovely, as was the dinner and breakfast.

You stay at this airport for its convenience and fortunately you can have a comfortable stay at the same time. And for the airport fans like myself you can get a room to see planes taking off and landing if you are prepared to pay a premium for this experience. As a person with simple tastes I found the food a bit pretentious in the sense that it touts itself as using say buffalo mozzarella but then used such a small sample in your dish you wonder why such an expensive and premium product was used. The rooms are fairly quiet but not the quietest I have stayed in. If you are a fan of sheets be prepared to be disappointed as it is duvets only which ended up a rather warm stay even with the aircon at a low temperature. Despite these gripes I will stay here again and enjoy it but there is room for improvement by my requirements.

We booked at reception for some assistance to get our bags down from our room on our departure/check-out and no-one arrived. This was extremely disappointing as we are an elderly couple with one of the guests needing to use a walker to aid walking. We had to struggle down the corridor from our room to the lift, which was extremely difficult and physically exhausting.
