The most superb stay for my wife’s 60th. No16 oozes history. The period detail is exquisite. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The dining experience was excellent. The haute cuisine on the a la carte was a bit beyond my sons’ comprehension but my wife and I loved it. The hotel has charm and style and the best experience i have enjoyed.

Highly highly recommended
Have stayed here many times over 30+ years. Still feels special after so many visits and highly highly recommended. Staff are great, location & setting can't be beaten and restaurant does fabulous breakfast and afternoon tea (haven't eaten dinner there so can#t comment on that but suspect also great!) Only thing to be aware of is that this is a Grade 1 listed building so that limits what they are allowed to do re modern plumbing etc so if a high pressure shower is a must then you'll have to stay in a modern soul-less concrete alternative! My only reservation in writing this review is that encouraging more of you to book reduces my ability to get a room at short notice!

Everyone at the property went out of their way to help us. Mark who met us when we arrived was wonderful. Jacob helped us get dinner reservations. All the bartenders and wait staff were exceptional. The property was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
