Review of Majestic Elegance Resort, Costa Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Mexico. We stayed at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Costa Mujeres for two weeks, so we had a chance to check out thoroughly most of the local amenities, which means the various restaurants, bars, the beach, theaters and shops. And of course, service and staff. Overall, we rate this resort, based on our level of satisfaction, as a five out of five. Our comparison is based on a few resorts we visited recently on various continents (we are Italiano but live in the US). The Location The resort is situated in a beautiful calm area a few miles north of Cancun, maybe less than half an hour’s drive north of Cancun downtown. It is very nice and quiet, and the beaches are very wide and there is plenty of space for everybody. In fact, during the morning till 10am you might be the only one at the beach. There are plenty of cabanas, beach umbrellas and so forth so that we never had an issue finding a nice spot to relax in. There is a bar right at the beach, and they will bring you any drinks you desire. They will also bring you towels if you do not have them with you. Nearby there is also a hamburger stand that will offer simple foods and snacks if you feel hungry in the middle of the day. There are lots of coconut palm trees all along the beach which harbor several beautiful tropical birds, and underneath there's lots of amazing colorful iguanas that like to roam around, always looking for snippets of food. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this resort. Staff was amazing and special shoutout goes to my butler that was phenomenal (Edwardo) !!! Food and drinks could be better it was just okay. It you stay at Majestic please see the piano player in the lobby every day at 4pm. He is a wonderful musician.

We had an overall amazing stay. The resort does not have one main large impressive pool . There are several small pools, which at first was disappointing but we soon found the adult only infinity pool that although small, did not disappoint. Victor and Misael were outstanding and treated us like royalty. Drinks were tasty but watered down. My husband was disappointed that they did not offer popular beers like coronas and Heinekens at all bars. Only at the main bar under the lobby and maybe the piano bar .Premium liquor you can only get at two bars, and they don’t open till 6pm. Asian restaurant was fabulous service and food wise . Steak house was not outstanding. Food was ok and the service felt rushed .Unfortunately we did not try the Italian or Mexican for dinner . Breakfast buffet at the main buffet was outstanding . Lots of great fresh options. Towels, linens, beds, pillows, all amazing! The only disappointing part I think can be improved, is they do not offer pool and beach side food service . There is one burger and hot dog shack in the middle of the resort, but I did miss being able to order lunch sea side or pool side . They only serve drinks at the pool and beach bars. You had to get dressed, leave the pool and beach area to have lunch or a snack. Food was not allowed to be removed or “take out “ at any restaurant . It was dine in or room service . Other than that everything was perfect!Had we been able to order lunch pool side id give this resort 100 stars!

My family and I have visited many all-inclusive resorts, but the staff here truly stood out. They were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. We traveled with a senior family member, which wasn’t always convenient, but the staff consistently went out of their way to assist us. From the cleaning maids to the restaurant hostesses, guest services, and pool and beach attendants—everyone was a joy. A special shoutout to our incredible butler, Chris, who went above and beyond to ensure our happiness. He handled everything from reservations to helping with grandma's wheelchair, always with a smile and a positive attitude. Jose Garcia, our pool butler, was also amazing, taking care of us the entire time. We were thrilled with our oceanview room upgrade, which was ready upon our early arrival. The food and drinks were better than most resorts, and while the pools were smaller, the beach made up for it. Entertainment could improve, especially at night, but we enjoyed the silent party. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely return, largely because of the exceptional staff who made us feel so welcome!

What a great resort. The staff, the cleanliness, the amenities, the food, the pools and the beach were magnificent. This is a top of the line resort, not too big, not too small, with the best staff ever. We can't wait to return. Talked to people that have been to other resorts in Cancun and everyone said this is by far the best. I agree.

While I wish I could give 5 stars, my experience did not live up to the expectation and reviews I read before traveling. I never met my butler once. As a solo traveler, I was looking forward to this service. I received an auto text each afternoon about 3 pm saying “good morning” and a list of the daily activities. Unacceptable. The other services all around the resort were excellent, and food was good if not great in most restaurants.

Property is absolutely beautiful! If we hadn't stayed in a swim up suite, we wouldn't have been happy with the main pool. It's small and blocked from the beach by a huge wall (see pics). Food was very good but not outstanding. Service was hit or miss. Adrian on the beach service was amazing and very attentive. Pool bartender by our suite was flat out rude and not helpful at all. Beach is beautiful! Overall we were very happy and would consider going back.
