If I could rate solely on the staff it would be 5 stars. Some of the nicest people we’ve encountered who are also courteous. We rated 3 stars because this isn’t really a family resort. The one family pool they had was just a pool with a bridge in the center. The bridge was severely rusted and falling apart. We noticed they had people diving throughout the day to pick up pieces of rust that were breaking off. Of the 7 days we were there only one day had a family friendly activity and that was the magic show which was held in their new hotel next door. The kids club is mainly for kids older than 6 because although it’s 4 and older there are limited activities younger ones can do and on some days can’t even stay there. This included the inflatable course on the beach that we didn’t really get to utilize due to the amount of drunk adults that were on there. (No judgement here). We were lucky enough that we planned a bunch of excursions including walking to the ferry which is right next door and taking a day trip to Isla Mujeres. Which id recommend over paying for the excursion. But for the families that want to spend the whole trip on resort, unless you love doing nothing but swimming in a pool and playing in the sand expect to be bored. Lastly the food is dealers choice. Some like it some don’t. Comparing it to some of the other resorts we’ve stayed at in Cancun it wasn’t the best. Personal preference and nonetheless service was phenomenal. Much more to say but not enough space

Hi, I stayed at this resort Aug 1-8 2024. My family and I loved our room it was clean , modern, and very comfortable. The resort was amazing we had a wonderful time swimming in the clean pools and ocean. It’s a very calm and quiet resort even with a lot of families. The food was great I loved the buffet which had great food plenty of choices.They had great drinks my favorite was the passion fruit margarita’s. Over all this is an amazing resort and can’t wait to go back next year. My one warning which has nothing to do with the Villa Palmer is when you get to the airport when you arrive in Mexico please ignore the travel people there they will try to get you to go to another resort by giving you a discount on activities just to bring you to the moon palace and sell you on a time share . Please research the moon palace Grand before you go it’s a scam. The airport staff when asked how to get to our transportation guides is to them but just keep walking.

It's great to stay at villa del Palmar, the rooms are awesome, huge and have everything. The accommodations are great too, very big pools, right in front of the ocean, nice beach, warm. It's not that great to walk in the ocean (a lot of sea weed). But overall... great.

We put “ do don’t disturb “ sign but they came in to clean anyway…. And then one of the Coke from mini bar is gone though we didn’t not take any. No idea if housekeeper took a Coke!?

Excellent property, my family had a really good time. With one exception: the beach was not very pleasant for swimming, lots of seaweed and murky water. Several people were stung by a sting ray. Make sure you bring water shoes. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property for a family friendly vacation. Thank you!

When you first arrive you are greeted with a glass of champagne. You are engulfed by the beautiful views straight out of the lobby. The staff is all very friendly. The room accommodations are very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who want to travel to Cancun but don’t want to be in the center of the hotel zone. It’s close enough to all the things you would want to do and private enough to be in your own oasis’s.

They up keep of the property and the fact that I knew my family was safe while we stayed there. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the sliding glass door doesn’t close period it has a lock but the latch is broken

Really a great location. Would recommend for either families or couples. Super friendly staff, very clean property, housekeeping goes above and beyond. Front desk staff always smiling ready to help. Food delivery by the pool and beach really nice - not just fast food, had nice salads as well. Also got a massage the spa which was A . Always found a shady spot by the pool which is great, not the case in other resorts. This may not be the same if you go during high season. I wish the beach did not have all those sea weeds, but this is not the fault of the hotel. The cleaning crews do their best to remove it. Great hotel!!

Staff not friendly much…also when they clean the room the floor was still dirty everyday…the people at the bar or around the pool area touches everything with their hands when making ur drink like lemon, mint yet same hand will hand you a pen to sign & take the money …they need to wear GLOVES!!!! Food wise is not bad the Italian restaurant was THE BEST!! After all maybe I will be back maybe not!! After all
