Great Resort, staff was great. Room service was excellent great variety of options to chose from breakfast, lunch, dinner even overnight menu from 12am-6am. Good amount of restaurants.

Overall it was a nice property with beautiful views and nice comfortable beds. We ( I went with my brother and my cousin on vacation) we all stayed in the preferred club room/section. However there was no way to distinguish who was a preferred member versus a non- preferred member . Bracelets aren’t issued ,we paid an extra 600$ -and still anyone could have walked over . But please be aware a few things I found for the price you pay: The hotel itself along with the furniture was outdated and some was even broken. The night life was non existent, and there wasn’t much to do after 5. Most of the “should be includes” being it’s an all inclusive resort… we not included, such as requesting liquor or a fully stocked bar in fridge . Water pressure and hot water were non-existent. Our Tv did not work the entire time we were there and if you’re on the 3rd floor be careful because it’s slippery….I fell ! The rooms are somewhat outdated but otherwise nice . The staff was very nice and attentive and the food was good , you must be care though because only certain restaurants are upon on certain days . This was more of a couples /romantic resort and it was clearly the vibe everywhere . If you’re looking for a place to just lounge at the beach or pool and basically have dinner and not nightlife or shows hen this place would work well. If you want a real all-inclusive and at least the option to relax or do things and party in the evenings.. this is not the place .

First & Foremost, we make the best of EVERY trip, no matter what and we ejoyed our time resting and relaxing. This resort is extremely outdated. We can see where they are trying to improve, but this place needs a major overhaul. Lobby: The entire lobby area and adjoining bar/restaraunt smelled of bad sewer. Our Room: The room was spacious/huge and clean. Wrap arroung balcony view was VERY nice as it opened to the view of the ocean. The restroom area updated but not the shower. There were cracks in the tub and felt mushy when standing to shower. The drain was slow and the water never got hot. The Staff: Was awesome - any time we requested, we received. The face of the property looked nice but not behind the scenese. Hallways were dirty - in our end of the hall, my room door and neighbors room door was in a cubby hole section type of thing and the floors were extremely dirty. There was some kind of water leak from the ceiling of the entrance of the room door (on the outside of the room) but the area flooded and then not cleaned up properly. Outside of our room in the hallway were two balcony lounge chair pads just thrown about; which stayed there the entire 4 days. Some dining was closed. Very little entertainment. The entertainment we did actually see was very good/fun. This facility is focused on upselling way more than we felt comfortable with. Every time we came through the lobby - even if passing through, we were bombarded with sales pitches.

Honestly, this would have been a 3 star review. Because that’s basically what this hotel is, a decent 3 star hotel. Food was great, the staff was mostly wonderful, and the snorkeling right off the beach is amazing. Prob is, it’s priced as a 4 star resort, and just plain isn’t one. The upkeep/maintenance on the property is abysmal. Lawns not mowed, not 1 or 2 but close to half of the exterior light fixtures in our “preferred” section of buildings missing, leaving lightbulbs dangling on wires as you walk around; scuffs and stains on the stairwell walls, and the toilet room of our bathroom was missing the door. Combine that with the exhaust fan above the toilet not working, and you can imagine what a nice experience that was. So what turns this into the 1 star review was the awful time the hotel gave us trying to get a simple early check out or transfer to the sister Hyatt hotel next door Dreams. So the first four days of our trip, I had to spend tons of time going back-and-forth to the office, on chat with Expedia customer service simply trying to get permission to leave, Until finally, we had to take the chance and double book to stay at a hotel that met our expectations, not knowing at the time whether we would be refunded for the unused four days or not Either Hyatt doesn’t know what condition this place is kept in or I need to re-frame what Hyatt means to me Save yourself the time, just book at Dreams, it’s much more up-to-date and feels like you’re at a Hyatt resort.

This property isn’t at all what the pictures shows. The place looked very old and ran. Every night there are only three restaurants that you can eat at , but due to there being so many people and limit dining places the wait is over 2 hours. The staff is very rude. Horrible place horrible experience.

The property, overall, was a disappointment. It was old and not in great shape. There was very limited entertainment during the entire time we were there. The restaurants were limited for nonpreferred members. We finally found a restaurant that we loved, and it closed the next night. The pool bar closed, too. One waitress was responsible for the pool and those on the beach. Asking for some thing felt like we were completely inconveniencing them. This was not a resort I would recommend.

Routine maintenance needs improvement, almost everyday by noon no beach towels were available. We only received one wash cloth per day or none. The original room we booked looked nothing like what website showed. Had to spend extra money to upgrade. We were there in 2021, big difference since then.

The staff is fabulous. The property as a whole needs many repairs and needs updated. Hyatt needs to spend some money and fix and repair quite a bit on this property. I was expecting luxury and it certainly was not that. Dreams is to the standard that i expected Secrets to be. Had a good time though and as I stated the staff was 5 star all the way.
