It was a mixed bag for us, as it was my annual Christmas celebration with my bestie and our first time in Nottingham. The hotel was beautifully decorated, clean, stylish and accessible to shops, the Christmas market and theatres etc. The front desk was very methodical for check in but could probably have taken lessons from the hotel dining staff, who were so friendly and keen to help. Dining options for vegans and vegetarians were amazing and the best hotel breakfast options I’ve experienced. The highlight of our stay! However, our room wasn’t what we’d anticipated. I booked a superior room with twin beds, which was suspiciously like a tiny double on arrival in what looked like a renovated broom cupboard off the main corridor. The facilities in the room were good- coffee maker, fridge, iron and beautifully equipped little bathroom but there was barely enough room to walk around the bed. There was half a curtain, which we tried to use to block out the neon lights from the clubs it overlooked and the loud music only stopped at 2.00am. It’s not an experience that we would want to wish on anyone else and will stick to Sheffield for our annual Christmas catch up next year!

Although located near the city centre , down the side road was a row of bars/clubs , which were playing extremely loud music which was playing until 3-4am. Additionally, the room was freezing , with difficult to use thermostat which took forever to warm the room up. Breakfast was good , but overall wouldn’t recommend

Friendly staff clean safe overall breakfast is good BUT do not stay in room 315 . The room itself is fine but the bathroom is freezing. Not acceptable. £300 for 3 nights no heated towel rail nothing … I mentioned the problem every day from day one. I would normally push for a change of room but honestly did not have it in me this time to do so and sadly not was there anyone suggesting an alternative. I’m sure I will get a reply saying . Thank you for your feedback and for pointing out this problem- sadly this does not fix the experience. Too little too late .

We were not warned that parking at this hotel was limited and needed to be pre-booked and when we arrived no parking spaces were available. Although there was apparently NCP parking available nearby, Nottingham’s one way systems made this difficult to access. Roadworks on the approach to the hotel we had to take a very long detour.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and hotel was in a great location and very clean. Only negative is the bathroom, feel this needs updating as the bath is old and awkward to stand in to shower. The decor in the bedroom is also slightly outdated. Overall enjoyed our stay and would return for the location as it’s in the middle of the city.

Would not return to this hotel. I booked through Expedia for 1 night and asked for parking. On arrival a lady on reception barked at me stating that i could not have parking as i booked through a 3rd party. I explained that i did ask but she kept barking at me that i booked through a 3rd party, she was very rude throwing her arms in the air (the young boy also on reception apologised and explained that parking was full). The 'superior' room i booked was tiny and not at all superior especially for the money i paid. There are much better hotels than this in Nottingham.

The service from reception is very professional and excellent. This is my second time staying here, very good for value and ideal location. My first stay was 10/10. The only reason as to why my rating is now low is due to the cleanliness of the room. The bathtub wasn’t cleaned properly as it had a handful of hairs dotted around the tub and some of the towels were rather unclean which wasn’t pleasing to see at all. The room also wasn’t hoovered properly as there were lots of hairs on the floor. The bed was comfortable, no complaints there. The only facilities I used were the female toilets downstairs and that was also not very pleasing to see. Overall, it might just be the room I was allocated but I hope my feedback is taken on board. I’d still encourage others to continue with their stays as it is a lovely hotel and they do deal with enquiries promptly.

There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and the window didn’t open in the bathroom either. This caused problems with condensation making the entire room wet even with the bathroom door shut. Generally okay as a hotel but poor for a park plaza. Room wasn’t overly clean and the facilities were okay.
