Air con wasn't very good at all, made for quite an uncomfortable nights rest. Hotel staff were friendly, reception smells gorgeous 😍 rooms were big and good value for money. One of our rooms had mould spots on the bedding, although inconvenient, staff swopped us to another room straight away and were very apologetic

Hotel and staff are great. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful decor and interesting interior design. Cleverly though out. Sustainable interiors. Rooms are warm and cosy. Sheets, pillows and bedding are perfect. Nice touch with proper coffee bags instead of instant. Bottled water in room. Soak brand body wash, shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. Great location. Close to shopping area, China Town and Canal Street. Museum/art gallery just across the road (closed Sundays and Mondays). Hotel smells divine. We will be back. Thank you to all at The Alan Hotel.

Lovely hotel in a good area. Two issues. Work being carried out my side of the hotel I was room 114 and was woke at 06:15 by construction machinery and I went to the bar to get two drinks on inspecting receipt later I had been charged a service charge. Naughty.

Given a room that had no A/C a small ineffective fan. Water from the shower was scalding hot with no cold. The hair dryer did not work. Room was the size of a shoebox. Of the two lifts, one was out of order during the whole 4 day stay. Food selection was sparse and overpriced and the location was outside a busy bus stop. I would not reccomend this hotel.

Incredible. Highly recommend.
Incredible. Beautiful huge room with a huge comfy bed. Shower very modern and great pressure. Bar open till 2am and has a great range of cocktails and wines. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Overall a good stay
The check in was great and simple and the staff member lovely. As it was a special occasion they gave us a better room which was hugely appreciated. The location was perfect and the bed so comfy. Our criticism would be the lack of hot water in the evening, I had to have a cold shower also the coffee making facilities weren’t great. It was a bag of coffee with a tiny bit of milk. For a 4 star hotel I think this was really poor. There is a fridge in the room so popping some milk in there would have been brilliant. The room was also incredibly dark which I think was the theme however, this wasn’t great for putting on makeup as there was no where to do that and get ready in any light
