Property had limited food options for lunch, dinners had to have reservations and none were available for all inclusive customers. Entertainment in evenings was below average or none at all. It was not near any shopping areas. Costly to take a taxi anywhere.

The staff throughout the resort were consistent with making sure we were happy and satisfied. Plenty of good food to eat. While at the beach or pools there were staff members ready to serve you food and drinks, Pool rest rooms were always cleaned, along with resort grounds. Several pools to choose that includes “Adult Only” and “Children Area” (water spray area). The room (Ocean View - Suite A & B) was very accommodating for my family of 5. Plenty of pool activities for kids and adults within the resort itself, but plenty of options to take trips outside (extra cost) the resort to experience the history of Mexico, adventure activities (snorkeling, zip line, ATV riding, parasailing, and more). Nice spa within the resort which my wife and daughter shared was a very nice experience. It was recommended to make your restaurant reservations prior to you coming to the resort. I would also recommend, since the one time we just walked into one of the restaurants and there was no availability for the evening. But, there is a buffet restaurant that could always accommodate and room service. It was also recommended to pay for your outside excursions prior to arriving to the resort for price discounts. We did take route and proved to be nice that we already had everything planned out and was in the system ready to go. Of course, proper planning will be necessary, but there were accommodating to change our mayan ruins excursion date. No guarantee but they will absolutely try.

The staff is pleasant and provides excellent service. That's the best part of staying here! The property is designed to meet the assumed Mexican aesthetic - which I loved because I didn't want to stay in an all-white, large, box hotel. My biggest detraction was that I did not enjoy signing a check at the end of the evening, even though I had paid for an all-inclusive package. I choose all-inclusive, so tipping would be optional if I wanted to. Instead, you cannot leave any establishment without a check, and the prices and gratuity section are laid out in a manner that makes people feel compelled to tip. This occurs at restaurants, bars, snack shacks, etc. That's a lot of tips for a week-long stay. Be aware of checking in and being roped into a timeshare presentation because it wasn't clear the "greeter" was a salesperson. Be aware of the "free city tour" - it's not a tour. It's another sales presentation where you are driven to a jewelry store aka International Shopping Center, and assigned a salesperson. Next, you are driven to a restaurant/souvenir shop combo to be induced to buy even more items. I wanted to call an Uber, but the cost of returning to the hotel was higher than waiting out this "tour." My last disappointment was the location of the hotel. It's not located on the main hotel strip, with shops and stores you can visit. Now, that ignorance is on me. I've never been there before, and I should not have made an assumption that it was. I would NOT stay again.

Amazing staff and service from the whole team at Villa del Palmar. I was a little upset about my ocean view room. You couldn’t even see the ocean because the palm trees where on the way.

Villa del Palmar is a beautiful resort that takes you away from reality. It felt like we were in paradise and enjoyed the gorgeous view during our stay. The staff was the best, and the pool area was the highlight of our vacation. The food selections were good. I would recommend the Italian restaurant it's so delicious! If you want excursions, you can be picked up from the resort, which is convenient for any family. The only recommendation I would make is to add a show with music and or dance. My family and I wanted to experience the Cancun culture with a show at the resort but we had to go outside of the villa to experience that during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Thank you to all the amazing employees at Villa del Parmar for making us feel like family.

We liked the resort very much, the suite was wonderful, the landscape and grounds were beautiful, pools were great, food was very good and the staff was very courteous, attentive and helpful. The beach is a little rocky and there was seaweed, but from what I hear, that is happening in most of the Cancun area.

It should be more clear of what is all included and the area around our room was never silent. The area around the resort is also kind of concerning, we saw a man in military armor and a rifle down the street from the hotel

We wanted to rest and enjoy the resort, we did. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Will absolutely consider in the future. The only thing i would say, the hospitality room needs some serious updating. Also the people trying to get yoi to go to a “timeshare talk.” Early in the morning are extremely pushy. I guess it is their job, but i would avoid the lobby if possible. Pools were clean, food options were great. If you plan on visiting, make reservations in advance. Davino was the best, ask for Alonso(great server.)
