What made up for all the bad points of this hotel? The staff were absolutely world-class. Unfortunately for something that advertises itself as world-class, the only thing that was were the staff. The disappointment started when you get in the lift to take you to your room and the card reader is hanging off the wall and the handrail within the left was not attached correctly, the room was well turned out but didn’t notice that when having a shower part of the shower cubicle was hanging off and not attached. Ive spent a lot of time in hotels recently and finding not only with this one that the lack of care and maintenance is not great. The place looks tired and needs to be woken up

We chose the Sofitel in the London airport because we had a late arrival and early departure the following day. Upon arrival at 1:30am, we were told the rooms were not available and we had to be moved to another hotel. While the arrangements for the other hotel were set up by the staff we had to wait almost 40 minutes for a taxi to bring us to the hotel. Therefore we didn’t get to the other hotel until 3am. Since we were no longer on site at the airport we had to get up an additional 30 minutes earlier to get a taxi back to the airport. The convenience of having the hotel room in the airport was completely lost. The Sofitel should have at least communicated via text or email to prepare us for this inconvenience.

Overpriced hotel. Paying for the convenience of being at T5. The room controls are not easy to use without some guesswork. Main complaint is with the restaurant- again captive audience - so expensive. 1 pepperoni pizza on a cheap bread base ( not sourdough) wife had pasta and asked for added chicken INSTEAD of bacon and they added £8. £7.50 for a beer. Very average food- £55. Absolute joke. Get food before you arrive .

Check-in was a very long and slow process. My guests had to wait a long time. Then we went for food before heading to bed and again, the service was extremely slow. The rooms were nice and the location is perfect for early flights leaving from Heathrow Terminal 5.

This hotel is an absolute must if you are traveling from Heathrow International Airport. So convenient and relaxing. When you check out you just take the elevator down one level and you are ready to drop your luggage. Absolutely wonderful. A lovely lady named Marie checked us in and gave us directions for shopping, Spa, Bar & Restaurants.
