From the time my daughter and I arrived, we had excellent service. We arrived and pulled up to the front of the hotel to valet park. Check in was easy and there was an upgraded room available in a corner room, so we could see the city building lights. When got to the room, we opened the door and were suprised with the size and nice touch...and the view was spectacular! Everything was exceptionally clean and to my liking! Only dislike was there wasn't room service available. There was some noise during the night on the floor, which is expected, and noise from the street. The bed was comfy but the pillows are a little too soft for my liking. The next morning we called for our car to be pulled to the front. We got downstairs and gave the bellman our ticket to hold our bags so we could go nextdoor to Fredricks for some espresso. By the time we got back our car was ready. We checked out and got our car keys and were on our way. I highly recommend this hotel! And I am extremly picky with the rooms I stay in

As far as staying in the Timberline District, this hotel was super clean and excellent customer service. The included breakfast was delicious everything was modern I wish we could have stayed longer. This will defiantly be a place I return to if I need a place in SF.

Overall, good stay. The area is a little weird but it was easy access to most thing. Service was ok. The front desk is always severely understaffed and there’s always a line. They’re not super friendly either besides the door people.

Lovely hotel. We had an issue with striking workers on the block blaring a siren and banging drums. Not the properties fault. There was nothing they could do about it. Every staff member I had contact with was so friendly and helpful. Always bring a sound machine when I travel so I was able to sleep. Pillows were so comfy as was the bed. Large closet for storing luggage.

Super helpful and professional staff. Courteous, knowledgeable and approachable. Location was 8/10, which is still in the excellent range, just don’t turn left and head down the hill, which is no fault at all of the hotel. Excellent value for money. Will stay again.

Otel fiyatına göre gayet konforluydu. Tesisin geneli çok yeni olmasa da odaların banyoları çok yeni ve temizdi. Yatak çok rahattı. Herkes konum olarak evsizlerin olduğu caddeye yakın olmasından şikayetçi olmuş ama otelde konaklamamıza engel değildi. Gönül rahatlığıyla tercih edilebilir

The hotel staff and facilities are excellent. I did not take advantage of the breakfast, and this is the only proper meal served. However, some light fare is available in the wonderful Redwood Room, after 5 PM. This was my first real visit to the hotel in 30 years; at that time, the Redwood Room was a bastion of calm, quiet sophistication. I dropped in about 25 years ago, and there was some sort of millennial/hipster party going on, with lots of blaring music, lights, and shoulder-to-shoulder young people. That, in itself, is not a problem, but I thought that the Redwood Room had been lost forever. I was very pleased to find that it is back to a reasonable semblance of its old self, but I noted that the music changed after 6 PM, moving toward louder, livelier, more modern fare, forcing everyone to talk louder to be heard. (This is, apparently, what younger people enjoy.) Overall, we were very pleased to stay at the Clift Royal Sonesta. The only downside is that it it is adjacent to a significantly less seemly area; we were instructed by the greeter at the door only to turn right when leaving the hotel, because going left is not a safe option.
