Excellent location for the marathon weekend. Didn’t like my room on the bottom level, I could smell cigarette smoke drifting in from the cars at the stoplights. Everything in the room was in good working order, it had the things I needed to make simple meals, a large fridge freezer and stove. The bathroom was very clean. The tables were a little dusty and the chairs need new covers or just get plastic ones they really showed their dirt. Overall great location, that is the main selling feature.

Nice Place But be Aware of Potential Problem
Nice, clean place, convenient to many attractions in downtown Victoria. HOWEVER, there is no elevator to some of the rooms and having to lug luggage up and down flights of stairs is arduous, inconvenient, and could potentially lead to injuring oneself,particularly if someone is disabled to begin with. Nowhere in the description of this facility is the lack of an elevator to some rooms presented.

Great Location
The room was very clean and comfortable. It was also very noisy. The hotel is quite large so it is probably possible to get a quieter room away from the traffic noise on Douglas. On the up side, the location is fantastic and walkable almost everywhere. The price to pay for the the noise?

An older hotel but clean. Within walking distance to the main attractions. Some of the rooms are still being renovated in a different building, but the noise was kept at a minimum. Our room was nice. The kitchenette is convenient and well stocked. My only complaint is the beds are rock hard. Not good for folks with back and hip problems. Other than that, I was very satisfied. Would definitely stay there again.

The side we stayed on was close to a bus route and at times such as 5 am was disruptive. Other than that it was a lovely stay. Would definitely come back, though away from traffic

We were only here for a short bit, but it was a fantastic location and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you'd need to make small meals. We will def stay here again.

The room was very large with a King bed and full kitchen. A very sweet deal on a busy long weekend. Unfortunately we did not sleep well because it was a third floor room and way too warm. The two small windows were open but did not let in much air. We did not want to run the AC due to noise. The street below was extremely noisy, especially the street sweeping machine that roared by twice at 5 AM sounding like a jet plane. The property is older but in excellent condition. The staff were friendly.

It was a pleasant three nights in Helm’s in. Hotel is close to everything I wanted to visit.Really loved it that it has a little kitchen area plus the bed is in a separate room. Feels like in an apartment other than a hotel. Nice and sweet!!

I will definitely think of the Helm's Inn when returning to Victoria. The little suite was perfect for the two of us. Clean and well appointed. Nice beds and linen. Location was very handy to all the things we wanted to see in town.

Stayed at the Helm's Inn for our first time while I took my kiddo to his first concert in the city. Front desk staff were delightful and helpful, room was spacious and very clean. Comfy bed! Location is fantastic - everything is walkable. Will absolutely stay here again. :)
