Breakfast was nice. Ben who showed us to our seats couldn’t have been more helpful and the food was constantly refreshed. Our room was disappointing. The bathroom was tatty. The main window was painted shut and the side window sash cords were broken. A spoon had in propped open but not enough to keep the room cool. It was hot when we stayed but the fan provided didn’t work. The pool wasn’t in use. The outside and surrounding area was a bit grubby and run down. Staff nice enough but we won’t be staying there again.

To start with I rang the hotel 5 time and left a message they did not reply when I book the room it stated free parking but on arrival was told I had to pay too stay which cost £20. I had an email saying I could pay an extra £15 to check in at 13:00 instead of 16:00 which I tried too do but could not so we got to the hotel early about 11:30 to ask if we could pay the £15 to check in earlier but was told we could not. When we finally got in to are room there was no fridge with choice of cold drinks and the bed was just two single beds pushed together so they was a big dip in the middle and the room had stains on the chairs and we had a joining door to the next room and could hear every word said and there tv was not happy at all and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR STAY AGAIN 😔

The stay was very good customer service good. Hot water for shower took time to get warm had to wait other then that nice. It would of been lovely if they had option for drinks because they had alot of alcoholic drinks and no soft or even fresh juices. Which would of been nice overall we had a lovely stay thank you.

Property is tired but quaint. Rooms were clean, however there were several areas throughout the hotel that needed repair. Our shower did not seem to mix the hot and cold water, so we effectively got scalded with extremely hot water. Hallways are very narrow and not easily accessible if you have mobility concerns. One of our guests required last minute disabled access, and while they were moved to a more accessible room, they were still required to navigate short flights of stairs. The pool on site is in disrepair and not usable, instead the hotel has made arrangements for guests to use a neighbouring hotels pool and gym. Ultimately we were not able to partake as our guest could not make that far of a distance. Staff were helpful and assisted guests with getting around the area. But ultimately we would not stay there again, we were thankful our booking was just for the one night.

The worst hotel I ever stayed in, I ended up not even completing a nights stay, and left after a few hours. 2 staff at check-in both serving 1 customer so that means a very long queue waiting to be served. No AC in my room, I felt so claustrophobic. But you get what you pay for though, cheap but not cheerful.

Good overall experience
The hotel was located within a few minutes to the beach however given the hotel is on the cliff I didn’t realise the paths to the beach were very steep. Although there were pool facilities at the sister hotel next it was an inconvenience having to walk next door to use the pool and spa facilities. That said, the hotel has its own pool which is closed but in my opinion they would be better opening this area for use to provide pool access and seating area. Staff were amazing, no fault there. The room was clean, tv kept cutting out and so did the WiFi. Apart from that it was clean and a comfortable stay. Thanks

Needs urgent refurbishment, the hotel is poor
Overall it was an okay experience, the photos that you get shown when booking is completely different to what it's like now, hotel is very run down and doesn't look great. Rooms are very dated and bathrooms are in poor condition took us 10 minutes to get hot water, the whole hotel is in desperate need of a full refurbishment and re fit. There's no swimming pool available either as it's just sitting there full of green water If you want any of those amenities they tell you to use their sister Carlton hotel next door Which I'd recommend people pay the extra and go and stay there it's so much better. No coke or lemonade available via the post mix stuff only through bottles which they also didn't have last night. Only saving graces is that breakfast was good and the staff are friendly. I'd avoid this one and book the Carlton next door for a more enjoyable and full experience that you'd expect

A nice stay with good sea views
The stay generally was good and the service was excellent. We paid to upgrade for an executive room that included a sea view and balcony, which was definitely worth the upgrade. The general cleanliness was good but the state of repair of the room wasn't great. Moreover, the layout of the room wasn't great and there was very little room between the end of the bed and the draws, a smaller set of draws would have been OK and made walking around the room easier.
