Very clean. All facilities available. The nearest pub is a 15 minute walk along a footpath but it's well trodden so no problem. The room is spacious too. Über taxis take minutes to arrive and cost a few pounds into the city center.Overall we fully recommend it.

Avoid at all costs!
As others have found, while it's a nice looking place, the management make this truely a nightmare location. We arrived late in the evening to a dirty room and called to see if a resolution was possible. They just leave the keys sitting outside and anyone could just walk up. A man came out and said it didn't look like it had been cleaned and would take us to another room. Okay, fine. Next day the charged us for an additional room saying we had lied and must have gone in earlier and used the room then requested another one at 1130pm at night. What nonsense!!! I called to speak to the manager. A man named Roger (I believe was the same man) refused to say if it was him or let me speak to anyone else. Was very very rude and intentionally difficult, even before I said what it was about. Not that he would listen to reason anyway. Attempted to goad me to anger and constantly intrupt me. Called us liers and said he believes it was clean and the only explanation was we went in, messed it up, and then asked for a new room. He suggested we moved, not us. None of it makes sense. They will then just stop responding, as others have had happen. In the end I lost patience trying and will seek alternative avenues to recover funds. DO NOT STAY WITH THEM. Dishonest and despicable.

Poor customer service
While the hotel offers a pleasant stay in a nice environment, their customer service leaves much to be desired. I booked a room for a business partner, specifically choosing a hotel with a 'pay at property' payment method to allow our visitor to pay for their stay. Despite this arrangement, the hotel charged the booking card. Initially, they assured me they would correct this by refunding the amount to me and charging the guest instead. However, upon the guest's arrival, they refused to rectify the error. We agreed to cover the accommodation cost, and I requested the invoice to be updated to reflect the actual payer, but the hotel was unhelpful throughout the process. After several emails and phone calls, they stopped responding altogether. While it may be a pleasant place to stay, I would not recommend it for business bookings due to the poor customer service experience.

Chalet 40
Having stayed here over 30 times in the past 12 months and have enjoyed every visit it was a surprise that the room I checked into was not up to the usual clean standard. Chalet 40 was the room and the bathroom was very clean but the bedroom had a lot of dust on the table, table lamp, the tea coffee and even the drinks glasses had a significant layer of dust on. Not a real complaint but more of a heads up. Look forward to staying at the property in the future soon.

Brilliant Place to Stay
Beautiful property with tastefully designed buildings. It was easy to communicate with them, no matter the time, and instructions on where to go and what to do when I arrived (I was a very late arrival) were clear and easy to follow. Details on how to get to surrounding attractions were also very useful.

Beautiful place, excellent room. Only issue was not enough towels, no soap and the drinking glass had lipstick marking on it. So it seems that the cleaning crew needs to pay better attention. Overall the place is magnificant and I would definitely recommend to friends.

Rectory Farm - great location.
Rectory Farm - a great location for our one night stay in Cambridge. We booked two rooms, both were very comfortable. The only criticism we have is that there were far too many emails. In total Ive counted 20 so far.
