The room was very small. There was no room to open luggage. There was no full length hanging available. The shade was broken. There was a loud homeless person in the alley outside. All the furniture on the rooftop deck was dirty, tattered or broken

I am a frequent guest at your hotel and I've always loved it because it is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and somewhat modern, and it's overall affordable. That being said, I am ALWAYS feeling a bit on edge when checking in or whenever dealing with front desk reception. In almost all circumstances, your front desk personnel are generally very prickly and they act like they are being put-out by anything you ask them. I have accepted this unfortunate behavior as a returning guest, but my recent situation sort of was a final straw for me. My partner who was staying in my room with me was sick and using our hotel bathroom and I went downstairs to use the bathroom in the hotel lobby. I was told I couldn't use it. It was the reception's personal bathroom and that the hotel has no public bathrooms. Interesting, because I am not the "public." I was a paying guest. I don't think I need to say more about that. What I will tell you is that what was once modern, chic boutique hotel is quickly turning into an undesirable place to stay.

Got a room to freshen up before a business meeting in LA. My window faced the parking lot and Sunset blvd. The blinds and curtains did not close all the way, they were open 2 ft at the bottom, so people in the parking lot and on Sunset could see into my room. When I tried to close the shade and curtains it rained dust on me, and they wouldn’t close, they were internationally short. They need CLEAN soundproof curtains and roll down black out shades that work. Had I intended to stay the night, I would have gone to ask for another room with curtains. You have to ask from desk for ice. Has a small parking lot.

Lipstick on a pig!
The location on Sunset was pretty good, although a little too far east. It is an old hotel, with new lipstick on it. Bed was comfortable, but super noisy at night. The coffee was cold in the morning in the lobby at 7:00 am. The attendant said he'd just made it, but showed him how lukewarm it was, barely could feel it if you put your finger in the cup. He said just stick it in the microwave - he wasn't making a fresh cup.

From the start this was a poor hotel. The staff when we checked in would not move us to the second level even though it was requested long before check in. The bathroom door would not close or lock, the walls were repaired poorly, you can hear the people above walking around. The air conditioner smells musky and moldy when in use. The area is not horrible but a lot of homeless people and they hang around the parking lot. Parking is expensive, don’t bother and just park on the street. The worst part of this hotel is the bathroom, there is absolutely no privacy. I’ve stayed at many hotels in LA and I would not stay here again.
