Great property, not to many food options. The staff has always been a bit snobbish and not accommodating. We had a free room upgrade through Expedia and they would not honor it. They said no availability and when I went to a timeshare presentation the lady told me they had over 700 rooms and were not even close to capacity. This is the second time I’ve stayed there and as an owner there, I’m quite disappointed.

We visited Escondido for my nieces wedding and this was a good place to stay. The villa was clean and quiet, which was great considering our proximity to the pool. We hosted our family for breakfast one morning and the housekeeping staff were quick to accommodate our request for additional dishes. The Canyon Grill is a tasty dining option and we were grateful it was available after our initial long day of travel. We were most impressed by the availability of bellmen who would pick us up at our room, drive us to the restaurant, and then return us to our room. We are owners with a competing timeshare brand and this amenity was fantastic! Truly a thoughtful way to enhance your guests stay. Thank you for helping to make our stay in Escondido pleasurable.

The resort property is beautiful- plenty of things to do for kids- multiple pools to choose from, a great gym, fishing pond, etc. Check in procedure is a nightmare, waited an hour. But once we are checked in, it's great. It's about an hour from downtown San Diego with traffic and about 40 min to Legoland. It's kind of remote- but you could spend multiple days just enjoying the resort and not leaving

I recently had a disappointing experience at the Hyatt vacation club at the Welk, and I feel compelled to share my feedback. The hotel did not live up to the expectations set by the pictures provided. The room I stayed in was outdated and had numerous issues. One significant problem was the towel rack in the bathroom, which turned out to be insecure. As a result, when my family member tried to retrieve a towel, the rack fell on them, causing injury. Initially, we had booked a three-night stay and paid in full. However, due to the injury sustained by my family member, we made the difficult decision to forgo the third night. With this in mind, we kindly approached the manager, Spencer, and requested a refund for the unused night. We specifically explained that we would be checking out early and not occupying the room. To our surprise, Spencer denied our request, stating that he would need to obtain the safety incident report and assess whether an early check-out and refund were warranted. This lack of sympathy for the injury caused by their unsafe hotel room was deeply disheartening. Furthermore, it is worth noting that Spencer never reached out to provide an update after supposedly investigating the incident report. Overall, my experience at the Hyatt vacation club at the Welk was far from satisfactory and disheartening at best!

We have stayed here a few times over last couple years. We enjoy this location very much. This last time we stayed, was great. Room was clean, bathroom wasnt as clean, there was hair left in sink. Other than that room was great for our stay and family. Loved the outside patio, we were close to the bbq area, which was excellent. The only thing that was a safety concern for us was the golf course right next to our villas, one of our kids almost got nailed by a golf ball while playing outside in the patio/grass area of our room. There should be netting to avoid this. Pools were great as always and our trolley tram driver was excellent! We do plan on continuing our vacation stays here in the future.

It’s a great facility with fun pools for the kids. Loved the rooms and full kitchen. Only downfall is the bad signal and not great WiFi in all places.

Excellent location not far from the 15. Definitely far from San Diego, but if you don’t mind driving, it’s perfect. Beautiful scenery with extremely spacious rooms. Brought our own food and had a great time.
