I loved my stay at this hotel. It's is close to the train station, has a restaurant and a Sainsburys downstairs. Had a chance to see the city within two hours.

Absurd that the hotel has no lift! If your particulars had included this basic information, as an 84 year old, I would have gone elsewhere. It makes me realise that I cannot rely on Expedia particulars and as a consequence I may cease to use Expedia. Otherwise (but this is a big exception), the hotel was fine.

Very convenient from the train station and just at the edge of the city center. Oxford castle about a 3m walk. Rooms were clean and spacious (by UK standards) and a supermarket was just around the corner. There's no lift however but wasn't a problem since we didn't have a lot of luggage. Overall, pretty happy and would stay here again if we're ever in Oxford.

Great comfortable one night stay
We had a one night stay, which was just perfect. Very close to the train station. Walkable distance to all food and beverage areas. Customer service was very nice and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. The only thing is —it is by a train station so remember to bring your earplugs and it is a very busy roundabout——you should expect that when staying so close to a transit center. Had a wonderful time in Oxford being a tourist

The beds and pillows were so comfortable! The area was very close to the train station, but it was a busy and noisy area. We used earplugs. The shower temperature was hard to regulate, but it was a great room and very friendly staff!

Really impressed with this hotel
Exceptionally friendly front staff, lovely clean room and bathroom. Beautiful old building with thick walls and a good layout. 3 minutes walk from train station, 10 minute walk from centre and all attractions, fab location. Really impressed for a 3 star hotel. Would definitely stay again. Slight road noise but did not disturb sleep.

Barely got any sleep due to traffic outside and building works somewhere. Not the hotel's fault but would put me off staying there again. There is a restaurant next door but no facilities at the hotel. The receptionist was very nice and the room was warm. Huge shower.

We had a nice 2 night break, just a reminder to anyone who needs a lift, unfortunately they don't have one, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Only 5 minute walk and you are in the city centre.

While the location was good as far as its proximity to the train and bus stations and the room was clean an pleasant, the area around the hotel was very dirty with much litter and groups of drunken people who were breaking bottles and glassware and contributing to an unpleasant and uncomfortable feel.

The Royal Oxford hotel was perfectly situated to walk from the train station or into the city center. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. The staff (especially William) were polite, helpful and patient with all of our tourist questions.
