Hotel location and views are perfect! Everything is within walking distance. Laguna beach has a free trolly service, with a bus stop right around the corner from the hotel. Free wine served at 5-6pm and cookie at 6-7pm. Negatives: Hotel walls are very thin.

This property is a perfect location to enjoy everything Laguna Beach has to offer; beach, shopping, dining, all within a very short walk. Views are spectacular from every room, staff is very friendly, and the new look is refreshing and serene. I highly recommend!!!

I did not get any sleep. The ac and plumbing was old and loud. There was no padding to block noise and the people above me were very loud and it sounded like they were in my room so loud banging on the floor and the toilet and shower I could hear everything so clearly. I left a few hours before check out because it was so awful. At night you couldn’t enjoy the beach view on the patio because of the loud people walking around and partying. The balcony was not private. The parking was tiny and hard to fit. You couldn’t drive anywhere and there was no restaurant or room service so you had to walk everywhere. I am so disappointed with my experience and it was very overpriced and expensive I paid so much. They give wine and cookies but they charge you $39 for it. There was a tag on the bathroom floor from a previous guest. I would really like a refund. It also took the staff awhile to check me in they had to manual enter my cc. She didn’t tell me anything like where things were or there was cookies and wine. I overheard her telling a differnt guest tho. If you are looking for a relaxing beach experience go elsewhere

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night, and I'm glad it was only 1 night. While the room was decent, the construction made it very difficult to not only find the entrance to the hotel, but navigation inside was very confusing. I was willing to let that go, but a few weeks after returning home I realized I was missing a few things so I called the hotel to see if maybe I left them behind. It turns out I did, and they offered to mail them back to me if I pay for shipping through a 3rd part company. I paid the shipping, but here we are a week after speaking to them and the company they use to pay the shipping cost says that the hotel has not even printed the shipping label yet. They told me that they have contacted the hotel to remind them it has been paid, and I called yesterday and left a voicemail because no one answered the phone, but no call back. I'm starting to think I'm never going to get my items returned, AND I wasted another $30 on shipping. Had the hotel notified me that I left these items behind once room service turned over my room, I could have just come back to the hotel to pick them up, but no, it took me having to call several weeks later to find out that they had it. This is terrible customer service.

The room is extremely public. The balcony is off a main and very public walkway. We had people looking into our room the whole day. Furthermore there is NO amenities at the hotel. Both days the rooftop was closed because there was events booked. We paid top dollar for a Holiday Inn type hotel. The only reason they get away with it is because they are on the main beach. Eventually people will stop booking as they are new enough that people still get fooled by the catfish pictures and location. When we approached them and hotels.com they didn’t do anything.

Exquisite location. Leave the patio door slightly open to fall into a deep sleep under the sound of waves crashing on the shore overnight.

Perfect Location, Oceanview & Comfort
The property is perfect, perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the Laguna Beach coastline and town. Casa Loma is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Pageant. The newly renovated and updated hotel suites were lovely and very comfortable! And there's nothing like hearing the ocean waves from your terrace overlooking the sea below!

They are currently remodeling the property. I wasn’t made aware until 2 days before my trip. They did a good job of keeping it to the areas they were working but kept me from giving it 5 stars in each category.

Great staff and clean rooms. The beach access was great! Some rooms are far too noisy due to the foot traffic from the beachgoers. The property is still under renovation but there was minimal noise from it. I would stay here again once renovations are complete.

When we arrived the hotel was being renovated. We were a little worried but the staff were accommodating and made sure we had help with luggage and we even got an extra room for free to help with the two bed need. Putting our rooms side by side. Very clean and eco friendly. Would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful location when renovations are complete. So far the decor looks great and modern. Our room was modern and had good air conditioning, but wasn't located facing the water, but a busy and full of boxes for the renovations and workers. So not any privacy. Bathrooms could of used a better cleaning job. But nice room and convenient for a few nights stay.
