Great location for the rate and walking distance to Koreatown hot spots. But poor insulation in the rooms and very noisy, so could not get a good night’s rest. Too much street noise and paper thin walls/floors. Hotel could use an uplift too.

Stayed here for a week. The staff and housekeepers were very nice and helpful. I don't know if it's because I had a room not facing the street, but it was surprisingly quiet during my entire stay, which was a huge plus for me because I'm a light sleeper. There's also a lot of great restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I'll definitely think about staying here again for my next trip back to LA.

We love the Normandie! The employees are friendly, there are many amenities, happy hour, lovely lobby to sit in, restaurant on-site, close to a bar, in a good neighborhood, and easy parking.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a guys trip to go to LA Dodgers game and have a night on the town. Everything met my needs. Building was old but charming. Staff was kind. The burger place connected to the hotel was very tasty. Would stay again.

I stayed here for five days, upon checking in I was notified the room I booked was given away that morning, but not to worry because my new room was on the same floor! With a wonderful view of a brick wall! (That leads down to their bar, so you’ll hear people yelling all night) Unless you plan on staying for a night or two, I do not recommend staying here. The size of the room is SMALL. With having two beds in it, it was hard finding room for our luggage. The bathroom was a shoebox. Your toes will jam into the wall while using the toilet. The shower will drain slowly, so be aware. On our second day, we came back to see that housekeeping changed our sheets on one bed with ones COVERED in rips??? Chris was amazing and offered to give us a blanket to cover them since housekeeping had already left for the night, and made sure to follow up with us the next day. For what people pay to stay here, they really need to renovate the place. Put in new hardware. Replace the water damaged trays. Deep clean stains. Etc. The area around is full of amazing restaurants and shops. Plenty within walking distance. So if you’re looking for a short term stay, and don’t mind a small room, I’m sure it’ll work for you. Anything more than a few nights, I suggest saving your money and staying elsewhere.

The hotel is very old and needs remodeling, and there is a strange smell when you enter the lobby. Also, the hotel lighting is too dark, and the rooms are too small and do not even have closets. It is very disappointing considering the expensive price.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here within the year. Two very different rooms. The customer service of all staff - front desk, valet, cleaning staff - everyone was courteous and helpful. Full nights sleep in comfy beds. Excellent water pressure in a big vintage tub. Refrigerator in room. Air conditioning! Cocktail and coffee times in the beautiful lobby. I will return. Thank you.
