Everything was super nice at this hotel even booked another night besides two staff members. The first night we stayed we had a drink at the bar before bed. As we enjoyed our drink and the amazing atmosphere. We decided on a light snack.seeing as how the bar staff was busy at the time (getting ready for the inevitable rush) we kindly asked a women that seemed to be a manager or at the very least an employee of the hotel if they were serving food. Her reply was yes. They are serving food. In turn i asked if i could get a Margherita pizza. She told me i would have to ask the bar staff which were clearly busy and shoulder distance from her. Before promptly returning to the more important business on her phone. Not to mention the clear dissatisfaction from even entertaining my conversation with her. I later found out her name was colleen. We did not let this bother us and continued to enjoy our night as the bar staff two women which i did not get there names were very lovely. However as the night progressed about 20 min. an hispanic family came to the bar and colleens attention and same demeanor shifted to them. Asking if they of everyone around them equally enjoying the fine amenities of this hotel could "keep it down" at this point i knew what was going on. As much as i hate to see it happen miss colleen was very much portraying herself as a racist and with her supposed power in her position she radiated that ideology amongst her staff. From check in all the way to check out, the experience was disappointing. When I first arrived, staff was unwelcoming. Not a single welcome or how are you in sight. As if it wasn’t enough that I dropped a lot of money for the room but I also had to pay $25 for parking per night along with, a deposit that was not specified on their website. On top of that, the pictures on their website did not look at all like the rooms. I was expecting a room with a view but instead, I got a room all the way in the middle of nowhere and the view was of the other neighbors. Getting to the room each night was like a maze. No house keeping unless requested and no room service. The AC was hardly working and the WIFI was horrible. The patio had no privacy as well. The pool and hot tub was completely over run by children. I will say, it was a good location… very close to the pier but that is the only good thing about this hotel. When I checked out, it was almost as if they were pushing me out. No “how was your stay” or anything like that. I tried to complain to the front desk but no one was there. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back here.

Aside from the vet, Attendence the Staff is not aside from the valet, Attendence, the particularly friendly or accommodating. Room wasn’t ready upon check-in when I did get to the room. My bags had not been brought up and I had to wait another 40 minutes to get them to the room even though they said they would be there shortly.

A little far away from downtown monterey but very nice hotel. Pool was small for size of large hotel and always very crowded. No concierge available during our stay and front desk staff would not give dining recommendations etc in theur avsence

It’s our favorite place in Monterey to stay. We love the location and amenities. The staff is always friendly and on point. Highly recommend for families!

The foyer of the hotel was particularly pleasant, light and airy. Modern lift system was quick and efficient. Rooms were comfortable and light with expected amenities. Gym was reasonably well equipped. Breakfast options were a bit limited but were priced at a similar level to local diners/restaurants, which was nice - as was the coffee. Easy to park. The hotel was very well located to the old harbour and Fisherman's Wharf - literally across the street! A short, pleasant walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium too. Represented good value for money, great location and good amenities- we found nothing to fault and definitely recommend this hotel.
