I thought the overall experience was OK. The hotel is beginning to look tired. I sent some clothing off for laundry and when it was eventually delivered, a member of staff asked me to pay for the service in cash. When I explained I didn't have any cash on me, he asked me to check in my wallet. I have been travelling for over 40 years on business and have never been asked to pay cash for this type of service. The worst part of this story is I had to get out the shower to answer the door.

Deira is awesome!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others. However, I specifically booked this hotel for the sauna, which was closed for repairs. Staff were pleasant and accommodating.

This hotel is horrendous and does not deserve a 5-star rating. Our room was on the first floor (110), and apparently, we're quite close to the hotel's club, as we could hear loud music from 10 pm to 3 am every single night. I complained to the manager, and he offered my family to move to another room. However, because my grandma had already settled in and due to a disability, it would have been highly inconvenient for her to change rooms. Moreover, housekeeping there does a poor job, except for Shwe — she was a sweetheart and deserves to work at a much better place. I had to talk to the housekeeping manager on the third day to ensure the cleanliness of the room. The cherry on top is that our safe malfunctioned quite frankly every day since we moved in. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are definitely better options available in the city. Do not stay here. P.S. WiFi here is crap, too.

The pleasure and expectations of having booked a five star hotel for your family is lost when you step into the room. The room and more specifically the small toilet and bath tub is well below the standard of even a 4 star hotel. The room and amenities are old. Breakfast was more like in a food court. Long delays at egg station, failed coffee machines, soft butter not served in ice and above all difficulty of finding a free table due to very high occupancy. Pool and Gym are OK.
