We love coming here for our staycations. We always get a very nice, clean room with beautiful views. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. The food is very good; although, we wish there were a few more “normal” options for dinner. We sleep so well here. Close to so many different dining experiences and shopping.

Love Kimpton, but this property falls short.
Pros: excellent customer service, location, comfy bed, could open the windows, hygiene products full size, and cleanliness. Negative: Incredibly small room, lack of privacy for bathroom (shower glass is half, slider bathroom door doesn’t close all the way), no fan in the bathroom, ac didn’t work properly making it stuffy (thankfully we could open the windows), $60 a night valet (expensive and inconvenient). Overall our stay was fine but due to the negatives I’d have to give it a 6/10

Property was ok. But the people were great. My wallet fell out of my pocket in the lobby, and i left in a lyft. They found my wallet and they called me within 3 min, and i was able to comeback and grab it and still make my flight. Very grateful

I’m usually very sceptical about staying at hotels but this one was absolutely incredible!! The room was very clean, the front staff and restaurant staff were very accommodating. It’s close to pretty much everything- if you are in between hotels this one is a great option. I have no complaints and I would stay here again.

Really like the property but as the rest of the gas lamp there are homeless milling around nearby. But loved the hotel and will be back. We had a beautiful Corner room with balcony on 16th floor.

The hotel was close to everything needed. The pool side was nice but too many homeless surrounding the hotel day and night. Also restroom is missing shower doors and no accesible ice machines to get your own. Staff is friendly and helpful when called

Great location! We went to sightsee and to go to a Padres game and everything was within walking distance or public transportation. Highly recommend!

Probably the best hotel experience in the past five years and I travel extensively. Everyone on the staff was cheery, helpful and fun to be around. Great environment, food onsite was better than many local restaurants too! Already planning another trip back, just to stay at Kimpton Alma again.
