Before arriving at this hotel, we stayed at the Asakusa location and asked a staff member if it was possible to store luggage before check in at this location and they said yes it was ok because it was the same company. Upon arrival at the Shinjuku hotel, we asked to store luggage where they proceeded to say that there was no luggage storage before or after check in. Many hotels in Japan do store luggage for before and after check in but when reserving this hotel there was not mention of not having luggage storage. When it was time for check in, the staff member at the front desk was being rude and passive aggressive when we tried to check in. My significant other politely asked if there was a reason for them to not store our luggage and they were very rude and said there was no specific reasoning. It was a very unpleasant way to arrive at this new hotel.

Not what we expected
On the Hotels.com booking site it stated that an airport shuttle was available. This hotel was a little out of our way but booked it for the convenience of the shuttle. When we tried to book the shuttle for our return to the airport we were informed that there was no such service and that we needed to book a taxi ourselves. The site also stated free in room tea and coffee. This was not the case. No tea or coffee or even a kettle was available. Shower was covered in mould. Size of the room was ok and had space for our luggage. Overall a bit disappointing.

I recently had a very disappointing stay Livemax Shinjuku, and I feel compelled to share my negative experience. From the moment I entered the lobby, I could tell that this hotel was not up to my standards. The check-in machines were not working correctly, which led to a lengthy and frustrating check-in process. As I entered my room, I was greeted by a musty smell, and the microwave looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The blankets on the bed had visible stains, and the bed itself was not comfortable at all. The desk was dusty, and the walls had noticeable stains. It felt old and lumpy, and I woke up with back pain every morning. Overall, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The dirty and dusty atmosphere, faulty check-in machines, smelly microwave, stained blankets, uncomfortable bed, and unfriendly staff all contributed to an unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Tokyo.
