I stayed here with my two grown daughters in December. We shared a suite room with a king bed and a rollaway. The room was very comfortable with nice amenities like bath salts, toiletries, steam iron, hair dryer, etc. Located close to and walking distance to the Daimon train line and nearby to Shiba Park and shopping and karaoke. Staff were immediately and always helpful going above and beyond to help with luggage and anything we needed i.e. calling a taxi, travel advice, etc. The only downside was the smell in the hallways and our room. It smelled like dirty feet and mildew…very noticeable and not sure why it smelled so bad? We were on the 5th floor so avoid that floor, if possible. Due to staff friendliness and helpfulness I want to give this a 5 Star rating- but the overpowering odor forces me to drop it to a 4 Star. That said, I’d stay here again!

Absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were excellent and large. Laundry facilities made it convenient. Was close to various train stations. Didn’t really find much to eat around there but the Lawson and family mart made food on the go so easy. The area is close to Tokyo Tower but be prepared for a bit of travel to get to the action packed parts of Tokyo and Disneyland.

The room was not big, with two suitcases there was limited walking space. But we made do! The bathroom was very tight. The bathtub height was short. And the bathroom fan was not functioning properly so condensation would build on the ceiling of the short bathtub and it would drip on you while showering. Not ideal. Cleaning services were done every 2nd night. The lobby was nice, free tea and coffee. The decor was unique. Tucked into a quiet street and about a 5-10 min walk to the train stations.

Hotel was generally clean and on a very quiet side street. Convenience stores and dining options short walk away (5-10mins). Staff were very helpful and polite. Very limited and tight room space to open up bigger suitcases as room was not very big (pretty normal in Tokyo hotels). Hotel had a nice bookstore/library theme, with different topic focus on each floor. Coin laundry available which is convenient but always in use as only 2 washers! You can scan a QR code to check status of your wash and availability. Airport limo bus stops at hotel, Tokyo Tower can be reached within about 20mins walk.

Staff was really amazing but everytime we walked towards the elevator, there’s a weird smell. The laundry room also always smelt like rotten eggs and there’s no option to open room windows even just slightly. The room did not smell nice either and with no option to open the windows, we were pretty disappointed.

Wonderful Tokyo hotel
This was our first hotel on our first trip to Japan and we couldn't have been happier with the Shiba Park Hotel. It was the perfect introduction to Japanese hospitality - the staff were so kind and went out of their way to be helpful, from the moment we arrived until organising our luggage transfer when we left. Our room was spacious, well equipped and extremely clean, with a comfortable bed and a window we could open. The public areas were as lovely as we had been led to believe by pictures and other reviews, it was great to be able to come back after sightseeing and relax in the lounge with coffee and a book on a cold Tokyo day. We thought the area was good for our first time in the city too - not too frenzied, nice and quiet at night, with lots of places to eat nearby. Being handy to three stations made it easy to get around and it was a short walk from Tokyo Tower, Team Lab Borderless and some beautiful parks. We loved our stay and would happily return.

We like it that it offers a free crib for our baby. Walkable and quiet area. The downside is that the room feels small. Not very convenient on the weekends since many shops are closed on the weekends.
