Service and staff at Hotel Niwa are amazing, they let us leave our luggage a day before our check in and made sure our bags were already in our room. The only thing to call out is that hotel rooms are very small with not much space, if you have more than 1 suitcase and are travelling with someone else just take notes! Location is also a bit further out from your normal tourist places but train station is a short 5 min walk away.

Hotel Niwa is a beautiful, relaxing, conveniently located hotel. Now my favorite in Tokyo. The many gardens, tea lounge and rooms are so relaxing. Breakfast delicious and the staff are the best. Definitely recommend this hotel when in Tokyo!

The property is located very close to the Suidobashi rail station and there are several restaurants and shops within walking distance as well, including Tokyo Dome City. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and they were all able to speak in English with us. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed all of the amenities too. The hotel has several peaceful gardens, including one on the rooftop. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal, with an amazing assortment of delicious options, including made to order eggs. We only wish that we could have stayed longer, and can’t wait to stay there again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here and we loved it. The staff is amazing, the hotel is in the perfect spot to be able to walk or take a train into bigger towns as well. It’s extremely convenient, and super clean! This is by far one of our favorite stays and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming to Tokyo. One of my favorite things is that staff gave us a large list of food recommendations and even helped us find where we could get specific items at shops!

I loved Hotel Niwa in Tokyo! It was conveniently located near a subway station, and I could safely walk around by myself from 12 - 1 AM and felt super safe! Neighborhood was also very quiet.

A good hotel and love the different garden views. A relaxing hotel. Not too convenient from Tokyo perspective, but close to 3 train stations. Restaurants nearby cater to college students so cheap but good, but if you are looking for little more upscale you will need to go little far. I recommend it for tourists and business, but the place is little more expensive than something similar in size, location and amenities.

Enjoy Traditional Japanese “Ryokan”
The only reason I rated 3 stars is air condition problems. Our AC was obviously broken and made horribly loud noise all night but they claimed that is “normal.” If any of room condition which bothering guest’s good night sleeping is normal, why other hotels take care of that as a problem? Location is not bad, not convenient like Shibuya or Shinjuku but it is near one of Yamanote-station and Tokyo Dome, surrounded by Izakaya which is very reasonable pub style restaurants. Another thing I want to mention is, this hotel is for “people from other countries”, not for “Japanese”. Most hotel staff speak English, Japanese or their own language but some of them are poor Japanese speakers as we noticed.
