This property was amazing in quality and friendly customer service. There wasn’t an issue with language communication or understating of need for transportation and where we needed to get to. If you are looking for hotel with busy local surroundings this is not the place, the area is more quiet local dining in walkable distance was very low key.

Would not recommend this hotel. Fancy looks, but sub par amenities. We had one of the best rooms you can get, and the bed was hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. It left our backs hurting each morning. Also, the shower would not stay at am even temperature. It kept getting hotter then normal. It actually burned me several times.

Above and beyond service!
We stayed three nights at Rihga Royal starting on October 3rd 2024. When we first arrived we were very stressed. I had made the mistake of leaving my backpack on the train on the way to the hotel. The backpack was a brand name (making it a target) and had my passport and all my credit cards and bank card in it as well as jewelry and other valuables I did not want to pack in my luggage. Mr. Nishikawa the very kind and helpful man checking us into our room tried to call the train stations lost and found for me. Unfortunately it was very late and they had closed. At this time it was after midnight in Japan and we had been traveling about 24 hours. Mr. Nishikawa offered to help me again the following morning due to the language barrier. This was a huge relief. My husband and I did not really sleep that night, as you can imagine, but the huge bathroom and very large bath tub were nice to relax in after the long day of traveling. At 8 am I ended up back in the lobby where Mr. Nishikawa was waiting to help me call the train stations. There are several and they started opening from 8 am until noon. Mr. Nishikawa had no luck at the first ones and kept calling until the last stop at Narita Airport. When he told me they found my back pack an hour and half from where we were I could not believe it! Mr. Nishikawa saved our vacation by truly going above and beyond. I don't think I could have found it on my own. The junior suit is extremely spacious and beautiful with tons of amenities.

I really liked how elegant this hotel was and the garden behind it was beautiful to see every time I woke up or when I got back from a day full of activities. The staff was also very helpful with everything, even to getting me and my family a taxi to the airport! Overall enjoyed my stay here and will definitely one of the places I'd remember to stay at when I go back to Japan!

The staff was very professional and courteous. The food at the restaurant was very good. The hotel itself needs to be updated, 40 years ago I'm sure that it was incredibly posh. The grounds were beautiful

The hotel was very nice and the room was much bigger than most of the rooms in Tokyo. Staff was very helpful and had a private shuttle to a major train station. If I am being critical I will say the hotel is not near any of the "hot spots" of Shinjuku. They give a shuttle because it's an area where people live and not much for tourists. Not that it was bad just an FYI. Also they charged for every amenity in the room. You got water free, but drinks in the fridge cost. The gym, breakfast, dinner, etc. The shuttle was free but there's no laundry in the hotel. There is a laundromat very close by but not in the hotel. Overall not a bad place to stay, we enjoyed it just fine.

Lovely hotel for our last night in Japan. Kind, helpful staff. The kitchen fit us in for one final - excellent - teppanyaki dinner. Easy parking below. We’d already explored Tokyo so location was not essential but it was fine. Would absolutely stay again.

This was my second time staying here and they’ve really maintained their excellent standards and exceptional customer service. Impeccably clean, close to the Waseda subway station. Decent sized old school rooms, delicious food at their in house restaurants.

It is a great place, twin room set worked well for three adults. Hotel and surroundings are beautiful and very clean. One thing hotel must improve on is to have more staff who can speak English.
