SCP Hilo has the absolute best service and amenities, including free bike and paddle board usage as available. They also have an incredible pool, a wonderful garden, and a very unique and serene coy fish pond. SCP is also located within walking distance of many wonderful places to visit, such as Coconut Island and Liliʻuokalani Gardens. There are also a lot of fantastic food venues in walking distance, but you will likely find yourself returning to the Coconut Grill more often than not. The Vietnamese restaurant, New Saigon, located nearby is also fantastic. Lastly, there are a few bus stops in short walking distance, and since the buses are free, why rent a car at all? My wife and I had a fantastic late honeymoon here, and I can't recommend them enough! Book a stay at SCP and see what we mean! Aloha!

The front desk are not friendly, no microwave at the room, fridge too small, the layout of the room was bad and our next door neighbor unit # 163 was smoking weed, vaping and cigarettes all night in his room and the weed smell was leaking to our room even if smoking is not allowed.

While not fancy, the property was clean and well taken care of. The staff were super friendly and helpful. You can probably find nicer hotels but you will definitely pay more money. This hotel had everything I needed for my HI stay.

Sustainable Lodging.
The hotel offers a sustainable option for travelers who are concerned about reducing their carbon footprint. I love the idea, however beware that there is no elevator, so be prepared to log the luggage if you want a third floor room.
