Beds really comfortable. and breakfast very nice. Some areas of hotel could do with a refresh & bit annoying when staff open the door 3 times (1st time at 9.00am) wanting to clean the room despite check out being 12.00. But overall was good.

First time staying at the Hilton Metropole, the hotel is clean and tidy, food was fantastic too!!! Didn’t enjoy my sleep though, temperature was hot outside so thought I’d put the air conditioning on, but it wasn’t working, which would be fine but when I opened the door to the balcony, the noise outside was unbearable. Constant humming from the fans outside. It would probably be better at the front of the hotel but at £260 a night, I’d expect it to be perfect. Credit where credit is due, the staff were brilliant, once I told them about the aircon not working, they brought a fan straight up but that wasn’t till the morning as I didn’t get back to the room till late on and didn’t want to bother anybody. Except that issue, it was a lovely hotel

Have stayed in a few Hilton hotels but really disappointed with this one. Staff food excellant. But beds were hard and pillows too soft so sleep was not as good as normal .

Really nice stay at hotel, all staff very accommodating. Good information given. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Food was very nice. Only improvement would be bath mat in bath as slippery getting in, and floor tiles around swimming pool needs to be kept dryer as also very slippery under foot

Although convenient for the NEC, this is extremely expensive for a very average standard of hotel and the 24-hour restaurant has a very limited offer and mediocre food. At breakfast the coffee is poor but the food is okay. On the plus side, for a hotel so close to the airport, it is very well sound-insulated so quiet for sleeping and the beds are comfortable.

Receptionists - three not serving other customers completely ignored me when I approached check in. Another staff member came across from concierge to attend to me whilst the three receptionists stared blankly at their computers! Clearly only one could be bothered! They didn’t even acknowledge me.
