Tried to tack on extra charges
Wanted to give this hotel a better rating but after my stay they tried to charge me for bottled water that I didn't use. The hotel itself was okay - reasonably priced for San Diego, relatively quiet and comfy rooms if a bit dated and lacking a microwave, and a diner with good food and excellent service right on the premises. Wifi didn't work though and the pool and jacuzzi were closed but the real insult was finding a charge for two bottles of water that was tacked on after I checked out. I was in town for a cycling event and had my own drinks so I didn't touch the bottled water in the room after seeing the tag saying I'd be charged for them. Had to call multiple times and play phone tag with the unhelpful staff to get the charge removed. Long story short, the hotel is passable if there aren't other reasonably priced alternatives but be wary of them trying to fleece you.

Enjoyed 3 night stay. Room clean service was good. Only had to visit front desk once for more coffee packets and 2 towels. The room was cleaned and attandent left 4 extra coffee packets thank you! Will retrun for price, convenience, location, and hot pressure showers!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Things were very outdated , towels were stained, electrical sockets were half out of the wall hello fire hazard. The only good thing about this place was free parking. That’s the only thing. Mold in the roof in the restroom, no bag in the trash cans or a bag to use for them, fridge was left open so wasn’t cooled and couldn’t use it, pillows were very flat, bedding is thin. The worst hotel stay I’ve had in awhile.

I stayed at both properties and I usually give up a five-star when they have a microwave and a refrigerator Super 8 have both Best Western only had refrigerator but what makes the best western better and Super 8 they don't charge for parking and services for maid everyday

Best Western Hotel was conveniently close to many attractions. The rooms are the basic room, with a queen bed, that is comfortable. This location could use a washroom could use an upgrade, but the shower pressure was incredible.

The hotel is located in Mission Valley which is pretty central to most San Diego attractions and hip areas to eat and drink. However, the day we checked out, there was an issue with the hot water in the shower and it didn't get hot enough. We were leaving so we didn't press it.
