This was a great property that had some great updates for a bit of an older property. The lobby smelled great, and staff was very nice. I would definitely do another quick trip down on the train and it is a quick UBER ride to Old Town and very near Sea World.

Room was very cramped with two double beds you couldn’t pass each other moving from one end of the room to the other. There is a $36 per day parking charge they don’t tell you about until you check in. Good restaurant next door.

This property along with Expedia did nothing to help me when there was no AC for the entire night. I sent pictures to the property and they said they could do nothing because there was no maintenance overnight. The only Thing they would do is not charge me to park. Expedia did nothing when I reached out to them about the issue because AC is considered an amenity. For almost $500 a night with a room of 82 degrees and pictures to present to hotel supervisor with nothing but a sorry. Is ridiculous. Don’t look to Expedia to help You if you book with them. Absolutely ridiculous in service and quality for both the hotel and Expedia.

We stayed at wayfarer 3 nights and the location was amazing. One of the issues we had was the smell coming from the sink like the piping had a terrible smell in our bathroom. The other issue was it sounded like water dripping from the piping of the building. It was really noisy that we needed ear plugs.

The property is a beautiful beachfront hotel which seems to be rare in San Diego. We enjoyed the location for accessing La Jolla, walking the boardwalk, playing on the beach and driving to downtown. Really quick to SeaWorld and easy for the Zoo. The pool is amazing and perfect for watching the sunset. Make sure to upgrade your room to at least a partial view and pay for parking since it’s really limited. If you haven’t been to San Diego before this location can be tough to find.

Phenomenal property! My wife and I visited for two nights and loved the place. It has a cool funky vibe and felt very welcoming. A couple of highlights for us were the softness of the bed and the AC units. We like a cold room and you had ultimate ability to control the temp with the mini spit units in the room.

The location is prime, right on the ocean. The facilities were decent, nothing too fancy but they pretty much had everything. Staff was available, friendly and helpful. My only gripe would be the room was musty. There was mold in the toilet that didn’t get clean even after housekeeping went through. Perhaps that’s just an ocean front thing? Overall the place was a good place to stay and I was happy I booked there. The beachfront is fabulous.

Lovely as usual! Great weather and lovely accommodations. We love to jump In the ocean for a refreshing swim, a quick shower pool side and a warm soak in the hot tub! Then next door at World Famous for dinner and Woody’s for a morning burrito breakfast. Two concerns - the hotel is costly. They should not be a fee for parking but there is($35/ night) And - now there are TVs poolside. They need to be quieted by 10pm. I love the sound of the surf at night … the TVs are just unwanted noise.
