Smallest room in several hotels we stayed in Japan. We couldn’t open our small carry on suit case and bathroom was 10 inches higher than the room. Photo on the website is very deceiving. The room wall had stain and never felt this cramped up before. We ended up cutting our stay in half and moved on to the next place. Staff was very apologetic. All in all 🙁

We were placed in the annex of the hotel, across the street from the main building. This hotel had an onsen/spa but who would walk across the street in a bathrobe to use the onsen? The room was claustrophobic with no room even for your luggage. So literally only return to your hotel to sleep( no chilling time or a space to decompress) this was our first night on arrival and we literally just got to the room and slept. Good location for busy nightlife if that’s what you are looking for with lots of places to eat.

Staffs are nice; location is great; the room is mostly clean. But the serious concern is that the facility is very smelly (from the plumbing or pipes through the toilet bowl). We stayed for six nights in the hotel, and had some chances to talk to the other guests in the hotel, and their rooms have the same problems. If they can fix it, we want to come back again.

The room is small but otherwise no complaints. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Walkable to JR Ueno station, Ueno Park, and Ameyoko. Very convenient and recommend it.

We loved the Ueno neighborhood which was full of restaurants and handy shops. So convenient to the Ueno subway station. After the bars and restaurants close it is very quiet. Really cant say enough about how convenient the hotel was to eateries. Superior queen room was very comfortable.

Window leads to the wall of the other building so it blocks daylight. Old hotel, rooms are really narrow and small. It's OK for a night and near train station. Excellent service from the employees. They really want to make you enjoy your stay

Hotel is located in a busy street food. We stayed in another building opposite of the reception and bath so you have to walk there to use the bath. Amenities are available at reception. Hotel provided tea but not coffee. The rooms do smell a bit and it has a lot of dust on the wall.

Centurion hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and location was great as it was close to transportation, dining, and shopping. The area is very walkable and close to Akihabara, ueno park, and asakusa. The rooms are quite small but that is pretty standard for hotels in Tokyo are.

We booked a family room and it was absolutely perfect in size and comfort. The hotel has an onsen and I very much liked the sauna, cold plunge and jacuzzi. On the last day I checked out of the room on time and asked if I could have 15 min in the onsen to finish getting ready and they said no.

I really wanted to like this place. This was our most expensive hotel out of our whole trip at over $600 for two nights. The area around our stay was incredible. We enjoyed our options during the day for shopping, and the options at night for eateries and drinks. Unfortunately though, we may look elsewhere if we are going to stay around the area again. What caught our attention was the outdoor private bath in our room. That was nice of course. But other than that, the room was pretty much the same standard as our previous rooms at more than half the price. Is it location? Perhaps. Our previous hotels during our trip at least included a breakfast in the morning. Centurion surprisingly didn’t offer. The building is nice. The rooms are clean and staff are more than accommodating. I just wouldn’t pay $300 just to have an outdoor bath.
